Who is getting 100k?

AT&T Reported that it expects virtually all technician jobs being cut to be done through voluntary buyouts. with packages that pay nearly $100,000.

From what others have posted the voluntary option for some techs will be $80-100k. Most anyone in a sales level considered management or management with 12-13 years or more will get $40K and up. I will get about $30k with 10 years and my boss who makes $50-75k more than me and has over 20 years will get probably $60k if we get hit. Not much money in the grand scheme of things.

100k if you have 30 years of service or more. I only have 22 and I have decided to cut and run. will be getting roughly 79k

This only applies to union represented technicians. If you're a prem/wire tech, who pays union dues but who after 12 years still isn't on the contract, you can expect to receive JACK SQUAT.

I believe it is the ~$45k in SIPP payout plus $50k. It has nothing to do with Cobra.

They count 6 months of COBRA as $79k, which sadly isn’t far from the truth...
