Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Expect this

Expect Layoffs
Expect a global re-balancing in market share for this aircraft class
Expect difficult times ahead for those who cannot adapt
Expect difficult times ahead for those who have only known Boeing.
Expect darkness and despair
Expect Layoffs, again and again
Expect to find yourself in the fetal position.

The first domino to drop. Boeing is negotiating Union Contracts early. And the union leaders continue to prosper, while employees suffer.

SPEEA is screwed first, IAM will be next.

Fuselage deal pushes back recovery of 737 Max production rates:
https://www.flightglobal.com/news/fuselage-deal-pushes-back-recovery-of-737-max-production-rates/136644.article

Under a 6 February memorandum Spirit has agreed to deliver 216 Max
Fuselages this year. The agreement replaces Spirit’s deal with Boeing,
reached last April, through which it intended to continue delivering fuselages
at 52 per month – despite Boeing’s production cut for the type to 42.
But the new pact – which depends heavily on the Max’s return to service –
Also shows that Spirit “does not expect” a return to the 52-per-month rate
until late 2022.

We build them quick but because not all the parts fit
We give them a kick a pry a tap; here a smack there a snap we don’t care
We build them strong in case something goes wrong
We would like them to stay in the air that sounds fair but we don’t care.
We get paid either way, bonuses for successes extra pay if we can’t stay.
We are Boeing Board of Misfit Miscreants; can you guess our name
We be Beelzebub;
We be Boeing Board of Misfit Miscreants; you knew our name; but could not say
We had you sign an NDA

Yoursay: AirAsia - in the eye of a corruption storm
It is completely unacceptable for any form of corruption to be involved in the
business dealings between the aviation companies and service providers as
this will both, directly and indirectly, compromise the safety of the aircraft.

I would be more worried about layoffs if there weren't 4000+ orders for the 737 already on the books. All those planes still need to get made.

And very quiet I might add.

But I'm sure your post and this one will be severely voted down. Not because they are not true, but because they don't want to hear it.

They will post more bad headlines. Tell us we are kidding ourselves or a blind and stupid because we don't see the writing on the walls.

They will ignore the facts which are that Boeing has said no layoffs from the beginning of this whole thing and the fact is that there have been no layoffs to date.

If there are eventually layoffs, even if it's two years after the MAX is flying again, they will be here claiming they were right.

If there are no layoffs, you won't see one of them here saying they were wrong.

10 months and counting.

It's easy to be jaded at a company with this much corruption, smoke and mirrors and impression. Watching derivative airplanes when the buybacks have been sinking the company due to lack of a true airplane is dismall. There won't be a new airplane if ever for a decade. Any bets on that?

I think that the press has never been a part of a first flight. Unless it is rain and lightning, you go out and try. Yes, they did know the weather. But the wind was out of the south. On a first flight, they are required to take off to the north due to population centers.

Yes, you can take off down wind, but there are talewind limits and they are more stringent on a first flight. They were probably hoping the gusts would die down, they didn't.

Therefore they will try again.

Boeing Management still not in-touch with reality as it attempts to demo the
777X during a wind storm.

Boeing’s brand new 777X failed to make its first test flight today,
after inclement weather forced the 777X First Flight to be rescheduled.
Strong winds left the plane waiting for several hours at the end of the
runway in Everett, Washington on Friday, before Boeing admitted defeat.

For the Boeing un-employed if the Max isn’t back in service by June 17th 2021
I think it's a great idea the move will keep the cafeteria staff employed and will
work well with the Boeing food bank that’s being planned on site.

Will union management be running the shelter or the Boeing board of miscreants?

Air Canada tells The Canadian Press it recently opted to push back the return
of the Boeing jet until April. WestJet says it has pulled its 13 Max planes from
the schedule until March 4.

{IMO} Good luck with that; is WestJet telling us their training, No.
Then who’s going to fly the Max. Oh wait there is no pilot training yet

Southwest Airlines and American Airlines have scrubbed the Once Heavily

Southwest Airlines Prepares to Return Boeing Max to Service
RIGHT – (Click Bate)
The carrier had 34 planes when they were ordered parked,
And had Expected to receive 41 more this year. That’s 2019.
That means it will have at least 75 planes to absorb into its fleet when
The grounding is lifted.

75 Planes 24 hour service / 60 duty hours Max in any 7 consecutive days
12 hour shifts (KISS)
75 x 2 x 2 = {300} Pilots – Oh Waite they need Training.
(Simulator Training; Not I Pad Training). 40 hours of Training Minimum.
300 x 40 = 12,000 hours to train up Pilots for the 75 Max Aircraft.

Two Shifts of Training 80 hours a week = 150 days {5 Months}
And that’s running people like machines.
Oh Waite Those 300 Pilots are not flying their scheduled routes.
Cha-Ching $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Hey Dennis, how’s that save a nickel, save a dime, working out 4 ya
Oh Yes Boeing is paying for this too.
Say hello to Ed for us Dennis.

  • Boeing's Timeline Foiled Again {Expect Layoffs}

If U Know Can U Still B Expecting?

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/boeing-s-timeline-on-737-max-return-foiled-again-1.1361240

Another deadline for the return of Boeing troubled Max slips out of reach,
The company doesn’t appear to have any better handle on its messaging
now than it did when this crisis started more than a year ago.

Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Stephen Di*kson told CNBC on
Wednesday that the agency won’t complete the necessary approvals for the Max’s
return until 2020. The plane has been grounded since March
That’s a notable contrast to Boeing’s last official timing update, which called for
The FAA to give it the green light to start shipping stockpiled jets by December.

What’s this U say, Boeing doesn’t Run the FAA anymore? No Way Jose

Regulators weren’t expected to certify new pilot-training requirements
Until several weeks later and airlines wouldn’t be able to fly the Max
Until they did.

What’s this U say no Pilots No Planes? Are U insane, this is not the Boeing way.

Beginning the process of clearing out the glut of undelivered jets would
Help Boeing manage its cash crunch and avoid further production cuts.

Oh say it ant So Joe, you got cash woes

That puts Boeing Management in the awkward position of Once Again
Being on the wrong side of conservatism.

To plagiarize:
Because At Boeing, We Believe in Bad Ideas.
At Boeing Bad Ideas Can Only Get Better.

{Can’t fix a mechanical design issue with software} @2glk

Boeing Accountants can engineer a fix for anything, it’s just simple word math.
With the MCAS issue we have a system that was

  1. Half As*ed cobbled together with half measures on Quickie Time.

The Fix is

  1. Half Measures cobbled together over a Long Time AKA (Back Fill Time)
  • Remember if you have two Half’s you have Whole.

Now we add the (Back Fill Time) 300 days of Half Measures
To the Half Measures on Quickie Time 90 days

We arrive at 390 days OF
Fully As*ed Back Fill Time Cobbled with Long Measures of Quickie Whole Time
Plus Lipstick
The 737 Max is now ready for service
You’re welcome
