  • Translating Boeing Boiler Plate @2fvgo

04/21/2020
Boeing announced today key organization and leadership changes aimed
at driving greater cross-company integration and Continuous Improvement;
(When you wake up in the gutter you got to get Up) that’s an Improvement:

Aligning enterprise services to current business conditions while increasing value;
Streamlining Senior Leadership Roles and Responsibilities; (See-Ya)
And preparing now for the post-pandemic industry footprint. (Force Reduction)
The changes are effective May 1.

A Newly Formed Group — Enterprise Operations, Finance & Strategy —
Will consolidate several important areas, bringing together teams responsible
for manufacturing, supply chain and operations, finance, enterprise performance, Strategy, (As if they have Another, Other than Lying) enterprise services
And administration.
Led by Greg Smith, executive vice president, Enterprise Operations,
and chief financial officer, this new global organization
Will Embed Operational Excellence LOL (So they’re going to hire Warren Buffett)
And consistent lean principles across Boeing and its supply chain,
LOL (Translation More with Less)
And restore production and supply chain health as Boeing and the broader
Aerospace industries recover from the COVID-19 pandemic — And Boeing
LOL (Lots of fertilizer for the Garden)

Corporate Audit will join Smith's new group and continue to report directly
to the Boeing Board of Directors Audit Committee as it does today,
providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to
Improve Company Operations.
(You mean the all operation that are crumbling around US)

Glad to see Boeing got their arrogant a– spanked and lost out on the NASA Gateway program. They don't deserve to win anything with their sh– products like the MAX, the KC-46 and so on..... self-inflicted bad decisions by Boeing management are to blame because of nothing more than greed.
The rest of the air and space contractors are going to clean Boeing's clock.
Good job asswipes.

@2axpw+12lmFi8K are you that stupid? They did not hire consultants to decide to take government money. Companies only hire consultants for one reason, that is to decide where and how much the cost cutting will be (i.e. layoffs). Seriously are you 20? Anyone who has been through a downturn before at any company has seen this?

Must be one of those flat bill, sweatpants wearing crowd.

@2aesx — it's all about leadership and Boeing has none
Not in engineering and certainly not in finance. When they have to look to
Outsiders to see if they should accept government money they may as well
shout from the roof top, Clueless!!!

Good to see Boeing lose out on the Lunar Gateway program with NASA. They can't continue to offer substandard products for use/consideration to NASA. Maybe it's the start of overdue comeuppance for Boeing.

https://medium.com/predict/2040-the-world-will-collapse-this-mit-computer-has-confirmed-it-5b038bec32db

MIT researchers originally developed the “World One” program in 1973
to simulate global sustainability — instead, it predicted the end of the world.
In contrast to various other theories about the end of civilizations and
ultimately the world, the predictions made by the computer in the 1970s
have so far proved to be true to an alarming degree of accuracy.

To this point, I have been the voice of "NO LAYOFFS".

My mind has changed.

I have said that a layoff from the MAX issues would have been a PR black eye. The BoD screwed up and let go the rank and file. Actually Boeing has hired more Union folks on the floor in Dec and Jan.

However, with the drop in the market over fear of the Convid-19 virus, the layoffs can now occur. It gives them cover that the market is softening and they can CANCEL the MAX and let thousands of employees go.

Mark my words, if the market does not recover in the next two weeks (it won't) there will be layoffs on March 27

To the OP: _ @vec
Have you no thoughts of your own, yes that’s my post.
Its parent was posted two months ago {Titled} “In Times of Distress”
Found on thread @OP+11pXQY8M / Laziness is a learned habit.

This mess was predicted more than two years ago.
MCAS has no business on a 737.
It is contrary to the principles of the 737 design philosophy.

The Arrogance and Laziness
OF Senior Management will be the Extinction of Boeing.

Think for yourself whenever possible.
I do understand that Boeing does not encourage thinking for oneself.
Only give your opinion when asked for it.
Too often, if your view does not fit theirs, the reactions are condescending.
The creation of “group think” is born, and planes crash.
This culture does not extend to the design engineers, they know better.
However money management rules, it makes for a horrible environment.
Save a nickel save a dime got to make Takt Time.
The “close enough for government work” adage has no place in civil aviation.
There are no ejections seats.

Put down your smart phones or tablets.
Quit Geoffing off and get back to work.
It’s better to go with your boots on than in the fetal position.
