Wow OP- we really thank you for letting us know about the Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit..I love that one. And the Sabbatical- WTF is that?? Does that mean I get to work 3 hours a week like my boss does? You must be in one of those programs where they grab you outta college and give you a cushy job, and a sabbatical....

I am glad to have the benefits we get and agree they are probably better then a lot of companies out there but they are not great nor do they stack up with what we previously had. I always pay due to the deductible being pretty high we never meet it....but if anyone gets seriously sick then of course we would go over the deductible.....However. I will not have them in retirement and or if I get outsourced or laid off which unfortunately seems imminent these days I can kiss them goodbye......

Apparently, if you can cut and paste, you can work for AT&T. I'm sure that's what you did on your resume too.

We receive 5 sick days per year. Along with that we receive, when using those sick days, progressive discipline up to and including suspension and termination.

True, current old time managers don't even know that the retirement benefits that they get were starting to get phased out in the late 90s. For people joining the company today there are no retirements benefits, other than a 40% discount on services and it's been pointed out already most people can do better than that by shopping around with other providers.
I think only L3 and above management get any kind of stock options or plans. And a lot of the other benefits listed are just group rates for benefits you can opt into by paying, nothing special, maybe can even do better shopping around on your own.

This is a joke, right? T offers a standard benefits package for a company it’s size. Not great, but standard. To the old coot that boasted of never paying a medical premium, that ship sailed a LONG time ago. Indeed, I (an evil manager) walked away from T’s high deductible, high premium medical coverage years ago. Thank goodness my spouse had more affordable coverage offered through their large employer. Looks like I am about to lose my $10 TV package (assuming DTV is sold). Sadly, that’s the best benefit as I see it. I can do better with Xfinity, TMO, and a handful of others than I do with the wireless discount.

It’s not about what they are offering, it’s about what they took away... as an employee you are quickly loosing ground to those that came before you. Pension lump is almost half what was paid in the mid to late 90s. Insurance was free with no co pays. Compare that to what they generously give you now. Deductible was half what you pay now plus it wasn’t combined for medical and pr-scrip-ion. Retirees had the same full medical until they turned 65 in the 90s and now it is almost twice as expensive as what active employees pay each month.

Some of these replies are a little snarky and I’m not surprised given the current environment at T, but these really are pretty good benefits and I used a lot of them over my career. At the end I had 49 days off per year and for most of my career I didn’t pay medical premiums. Benefits are part of your compensation and you need to be aware of all of them and use the c-ap out of them.

Go to HR Onestop and search for Tuition Aid.

Here in the West, craft also has access to the Horizons program as well.

Employees don’t get all those benefits across the board but we get most of them. There’s always going to be downers trying to downplay what was posted.

Pet-friendly workplace!!!!??? Heck, we can’t even have a plant in our desk for the “allergy sensitive” and because they “attract insects.” Insert eye roll. If I could bring my sweet little dog, I’d love it and so would he!!!
