Another Big Question I Must Ask

So if/when Eddie takes things over 100% I am wondering then if Sears doesn't have to report either the quarterly earnings nor any store closures that will (very likely) happen over the course of its limited existence.

I'm just looking for an honest answer

I left Sears in August. I have been on COBRA since that time. Does anyone know when Sears emerges from bankruptcy if my COBRA is still intact or does it go away? Thank you in advance for honest answers.

“The Big Long”

The 5.2 billion-dollar bid by ESL will be approved by the Bankruptcy Court. The common stock of SHLDQ will not be wiped out, but all shareholders should buy Warrants and Unsecured 12/15/2019 Bonds to protect against dilution. The 2nd Lien 10/15/2018... — read more

The Creditor's case is simple

The Creditor's case is simple. Eddie transferred property from Sears to Seritage, improperly moving those secured assets out of the reach of creditors. How do they know they were improperly valued? Seritage's asset value went up by a $400M... — read more

Sears will continue to bleed money, but at a slower pace

No layoff's but hours will be cut. Eddie saved your job, but he's not going to spend anymore money on you or the store than he has in past. Sears will continue to bleed money, but at a slower pace, which to some will indicate a turn around. It will... — read more

Craftsman deal and the new company

SearsHC had a deal with Stanley (or whoever bought Craftsman) to allow them to source their own Craftsman tools for 15 years. Does that deal die with SearsHC, or does anyone know if that is transferable to the purchasing company? I'd imagine any... — read more

Layoffs toay

Layoffs are happening today at corporate office. Not sure of the number yet but not good timing after Eddie was just spouting during his auction bid about how much he loves the associates and wants to save them!

Is this real life?

I've read through the opinions, the trolling, the cheer leading, the vitriol, etc and came to the conclusion that no matter what side of the fence you're on as an employee or outsider - this whole ordeal feels surreal. As long as Sears is allowed to... — read more

Old Sears will wrap up and new Sears will take over

The stores basically have to operate under the DIP until Eddie takes control. Old Sears will wrap up and new Sears will take over. Old debt is mostly toast aside from what liabilities Eddie assumed. I’ve heard he lined up close to a billion in credit... — read more

With all the talk of corporate layoffs, does anyone have concrete evidence of store level layoffs? My store still hasn't posted the schedules, and we just had a budget cut.
