im tired. tired of constantly worrying if this layoff i am affected..tired of the constant changes. tired of the insecurity... this use to be a great company to work for.. now.... well I'm tired of it all
@1bqf AMEN!! that's the real mic drop!!! So sick and tired of people acting like we aren't allowed to be upset!!
They should change the name of this site to jealousbitchesbashnurses .com
Seriously, how pathetic are you that this is what you spend your free time doing? Does it make you feel special to get behind your anonymous keyboard and hate on the most trusted profession? What's the matter? You fail out of nursing school once and now you hate everyone who didn't? Get over yourself. Most of the nurses are compassionate and feel just as bad for every one else that is facing this RIF, but apparently we aren't allowed to worry about ourselves? We aren't allowed to be concerned about our future? How we are going to pay our bills? Take care of our kids?
Some of the comments on here absolutely make me sick to my stomach. You people need jesus. You need to learn compassion. And you need to seriously reconsider working in healthcare. Sick people don't need to be exposed to your brand of ugly.
Not a jealous bone in this body. Former HCM RN here that was RIF’d so trust that I know how it works. Hey PHC’s when you see a RN has called a member multiple times that means what the member needed was something you could have helped them with but we drag it out over 6 calls. Metrics are mostly cake - thanks for all the RN consults!
@1hde jealous much? Maybe you should take all your free time you'll have now and get an education? Quit your b--ching
I think its funny all the people practically salivating over the thought of getting overtime pay. People in my group chat today were pretty much bragging about how they were going to ride the clock to get that time and a half. It took all of my self control not to tell them that it'll never be approved. All this does is force people to work quicker and gives another level of micromanagement to the role. Personally I don't care. I don't give more than 40 hours to Humana ever anyway. 🙄
The almighty RN should have no problem doing what’s expected of them in a day’s work. Like, really?!? What’s the barrier since ya’ll are so good at identifying “member barriers” for the sake of validating your existence yet send members that really need RN back to PHC, to make YOUR job easier. Get over yourselves and back to bedside where you’re really needed!
You're all idiots.
A level playing field is good. No one can complain that someone is doing too much and making the rest look bad. I think this will be good for us
Hourly Tate is in every payslip. Always have been. I think this will help people walk away and go home at night. It puts everyone in a level playing field.
Last year we had different head honchos. Looks like someone is finally paying attention
What @RBEpSnh-srv said. Does no one remember last year when they told the whole group they all had to exceed the average of the group? Apparently someone is not able to do math and it sounds like this came home to bite them in the butt as most nurses were working overtime then in a fruitless effort to keep up. Then they had that big meeting with HR, trying to claim they never said that. 😒 No clue how this will affect us now. 🤔
I would suggest that going hourly stops people taking Humana to court for unpaid overtime. That's an expensive day in court and that without it being a class action. I point the finger at the Amublance Chasing Lawyers.
Personally, I will just be grateful to still be employed. I like what I do. I do what is asked and dont think it's too much. Would I like less work, sure but I don't mind what I need to do.
WOW if I had to put the "@" before this post it would be a LONG list. I came here to seek support and solace for a very upsetting time. However, everyone seems to be bashing others. I understand this is upsetting and we all have bills to pay. Many areas are affected by this recent layoff but it saddens me to see how the Humana at Home program failed ALL of us. There is no support between departments and an apparent lack of understanding about the roles we all play in helping our members. Over the last few weeks it has been very hard for me to tell people, I will follow up with you or you can call me anytime when I know that might not be true. I have a relationship with a lot of these people over the 4 yrs I have been here. I WE all need to support each other not bash.
HCM-RN here. I will apologize for all the negativity from our role. I think we are all stressed about the lay offs, now another change that people have to think about with changing to hourly. We, meaning HAH, are all in this together. We should be supporting each other instead of putting down each other specific to what role we hold. This is a hard transition for all of us, knowing that we or many of our friends will be laid off. Many of us have compassion for each HAH associate. I would like to see less role bashing and more support on this site
Seriously, think about it, if most can't reach the current metrics they are forced to look at metrics. My coach said they realize many of us are bolstering our numbers by working overtime on a regular basis. I was told the new direction will be more focused on quality hence increased audits and less focus on quantity. Quality has seriously suffered in the past year
Really? I find the constant complaints and whining completely unprofessional! Be thankful to be employed!
@ift coaches have been told to never approve overtime. If you don't get your work done in 8 hours now that means coaching.
To all the people bashing nurses, just stop. You're attitude is unkind and unprofessional. Take a long look in the mirror.
@RBEpSnh-uhj BRAVO! There is no pleasing y'all! Bless your hearts for always thinking you are superior and deserve special treatment while the PHCs had to meet metrics in our 8 hours. I can't believe you are complaining about being non=exempt. Now the company can't take advantage of you! You will all be in equal footing. No one can be accused of looked down upon for working extra to beef up their numbers. If the majority don't hit their numbers on a daily basis, that will force leadership to reevaluate metrics. Stop your constant complaining. What miserable lives you lead if you find the negative in everything. As someone said on another post, no one is responsible for your happiness but you!
What the employees that are not nurses are not understanding is that the nurses have been working massive amounts of overtime for quite some time just to be able to keep up with unrealistic expectations. Now they want us to try to do the same amount of work in a shorter period of time because they certainly aren’t going to pay anyone overtime.
Wow, ntr! HCM RN here. Your post was very high and mighty. Please know that most RNs do not feel that way toward other associates. Hope these rude posters get their due!
Hourly pay! AWESOME!!!!! I’ve work so many overtime hours to meet the demands, they are finally addressing that! I see many people look at it in a bad way- but I am super happy about the change!
And that sound was the mic dropping. 🎤
Cheers to you for saying what non-RNs on here have been thinking.
@RBEpSnh-adl are you completely moronic? You will still earn the same amount per year and work less hours. When you factor in less hours for the same money you actually would be getting more per hour! Go work in a hospital where you are paid hourly.
@RBEpSnh-ntr. Who the hell said anything about CHEs? CHEs rarely seem to post in here. Its all the entitled nurses who think their 4 year degree equates to a doctorate or God. What a jerk you are!! By the way, most CHEs and PHCs have more degrees than you probably do so don't throw your education in our faces. Us PHCs are also hourly and manage just fine!
Not sure how it is micromanaging to expect you to get your job done in 8 hours. If there is an act of nature like a hurricane you don't need to use PTO. That doesn't change. Quit your damn whining or quit your job. No one is feeling sorry for you! You guys complain non-stop about working OT and threaten useless lawsuits. Well here is your answer and you complain about that too!
this is crap...i would of signed up for the RIF if i had been given the option. This company is trash. Come on these damn phones go out at times, internet goes out....which is not our fault. Using this flawed system again to track our time is ridiculous....I used to love this company and brag about it and recommend friends to come work her....haven't done this in years now...please God let me be on the RIF list
It's too new to speculate how this will work but coming from a finance background, in my mind it's pretty simple. Hourly will ensure that employees comply with use of Aux codes as designed giving corporate a better handle on monitoring employee work. Now with the compliance for Aux codes, upper management will have Verint reports tell the story and give justification i.e.: reasons, for firing an employee who is not performing to standards. RIF's cost money. Think for a moment and add this up: 2 months’ pay for doing basically doing nothing plus 2 weeks for every year worked and the balance of your PTO x _ # of employees in the RIF. Considering those in the last RIF did not have to work after the first week, this was a major loss of productivity. If you were a company would you want to be giving out all that additional free money? Changing tactics is smart business. I am certain this will be the last RIF for HAH. Plan is to hope many will quit once the hourly clock in out is instituted and for those who stay, low performers will be weeded out and fired based on performance. So, no big loss of money as with another RIF, if the program continues its downward spiral. Personally, I welcome the RIF, I'm tired of the roller-coaster created by inadequate upper management of this program. I don't wish to pay the price for moronic mistakes.
Humana works with those in natural disasters. Let’s not chicken little this.
Well all i have to say is wow.... so when most of florida was without electric for over a week... guess what when i worked in the hospital i showed up and had to work!! I had to find a way to get there or else... I couldn't use my pto in place of my body... and for that it is a national disaster, just like tornados and other things.... how is that our fault... smdh..
seriously....if my area has outage of internet i have to use my PTO...are you serious? What about that Hurricane that hit FL?? Or Snow storms....come on that is not our fault and you are going to make us use our PTO
wow Phcs have always had to log in and out and use aux codes. Had to use Pto for doctor appointments. . depending on whose team.you were on... they are finally trying to implement something across the board.. better late than never..
Too bad they don’t have a separate page for the CHEs. It’s not always about the CHEs. RNs can vent and post in here too. We worked hard to get our degrees so that we could a gave a great career choices with some security. I gave up a lot of my partying time to write care plans, research papers so I could have the benefits of being a nurse. Tired of hearing about people who didn’t choose to get the same education whine. Nurses are hurting and scared too.
If systems are down for everyone ur ok but if its an isolated system issue say like with ur internet, then u have to use ur pto, u use a time sheet to put in the type of hours u worked, reg, holiday, pto ect.
I think we enter our time into a time sheet and that our coach is responsible for making sure our timesheet matches our aux codes. And that we are paid based on the timesheet
seriously micro managing...
MY question is how they plan to track our time? With these wonder flawed phone systems we have??? Or better yet these great IT systems we have....another way to screw us over. So if systems down for 5 hours we lose that pay????
This is not good. For me, the pay is better at the hospital.
@RBEpSnh-adl Bye. (waves)
It works out better this way. I went from being a salaried Employee to hourly, you still work 40 hours, u just dont have to work over..... The only people who cared about chsnfe are those who got stuff don in less than 40 hours and still got payed same
