Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

A Wake-Up Call for Failed Leadership

Moving teams to outsourcing companies like NTT, Infinite has completely misfired. Instead of improving efficiency, it crippled operations, destroyed accountability, and ki-led ownership. Rebadged staff don’t respond, don’t resolve issues, and have no stake in outcomes. Management must stop making these reckless decisions — you cut inefficiency, not entire teams. What was meant to streamline costs has backfired, creating chaos and eroding trust. Leadership should focus on empowering in-house talent, enforcing accountability, and rebuilding culture. Stop outsourcing responsibility — it’s not cost-saving, it’s self-sabotage. Learn to lead, not to offload. Fix the structure before the foundation collapses entirely.

@zy Agree - worked for Conduent commercial and government (previously known as ACS) and it was just as bad, perhaps worse if you can imagine that!

Reading through the reviews on Glassdoor, Indeed, etc. Statements made fall inline with the general concensus of how many of us feel.

Unless you're a favorate or a member of the cliche. You can pretty much expect to have to claw your way through all the cr-p that rolls downhill. Be marked as not a team player for standing up to your values and maybe speaking your mind on ocassion.

If you haven't noticed, lately executive management has been making themselves scarse, where previoulsy the were trying to get in the middle of everything. Which helps. But what would help more is getting rid of all their henchmen. The obnoxious, arrogrant, self-loathing who couldn't manage themselves out of a brown paper bag.

You ain't wrong. Cutting checks to "partners" not doing a damn thing for Gainwell.

@14v not all the accounts, but a lot of them.

@13y all the Gainwell accounts were originally EDS and badged DXC when they came to Gainwell. My observation was that the accounts and Gainwell corporate were increasingly at odds as time went by. It was very evident in the Implementation Practice, where Corporate wanted to standardize. After the Ohio implementation, the rest of the accounts with a DDI became fearful of the impact on their established operations and therein was the conflict. FL and KY put a halt on their upgrades that were already in progress due to input from their state clients. At some point the Accenture folks started showing up to try and right the ship. Plus word got around internally between the accounts and it was pretty negative all around. Heaven only knows what happens from here, but it can't be good.

@11a
KY is already a Gainwell account, for years. FYI

Munger

Just do a little research. Why are you asking for the competition list? Are you blinded and think that Gainwell is bulletproof? They definitely are not. Their presence in the market is shrinking and it is going to rapidly increase how quickly it is shrinking.

For FL and KY it definitely says a lot that they want to avoid Gainwell.

Times are a changin’

@10q so for FL and KY, doing nothing was better than moving forward with Gainwell. Says a lot!

“Munger”

If you had your eyes wide open you’d know the answer to your WHO.

GW lost VA and Idaho bid and then FL and KY contracts got cancelled as they want to continue with what they have in place. GW lost Alabama bid.

@zv I asked a simple question. WHO exactly are all these competitors you speak of? Here I'll start: Conduent, who appears no better than GW. You're up.

@zr

Do you really think that Gainwell can’t be replaced? That no one bids against them? There are several competitors.

They don’t have to come and save the states. The states are going to save themselves and get away from Gainwell. Remember this post in about a year from now. Things move slowly, but they will move.

Are you currently working at Gainwell? It would appear that Gainwell has affected your judgement.

@y8

"States will jump ship" to WHO exactly?

There's no one coming to save the States.

@ws yup Veritas is going to do everything they can to look profitable. Offshoring. Layoffs. Poor business practices. Really cooking the books. Then they can sell.

But it won’t matter. Soon enough all their shady practices will start to come to light. Investigations will happen. The value of Gainwell is about to plummet. Layoffs will increase. States will jump ship. Lawsuits will be filed. Business is about to tank. It will be a slow process but there’s no hiding it now. They will either sell for pennies on the dollar or go bankrupt or both.

I really can’t believe the ones still working there or the current employees that actually think Gainwell is a good company. That is mind blowing.

@sd Veritas wants to earn a return on their investment, which means they have to be able to sell Gainwell for more than it cost them to buy the component parts...they have no reason to want to destroy the company, but the parade of former senior executives tells you they have only so much patience before they flush out and try again. Eventually they may tire of it and sell it for a loss, but they company is worth more if they have contracts that are financially successful and a good pipeline of business coming in (none of that works if things are actively falling apart)

Gainwell and Veritas don’t care about any employee.

That should be obvious by now.

They want to get rid of as many of you as they can.

And yet you choose to stay working there.

Veritas trusted the inmates to run the asylum in the beginning days of Gainwell but came to realize the existing leadership needed a lot of development to meet the "vision" of Gainwell, whatever that was. Then Veritas brought in the Accenture guys and gals, along with their own friends to whip everyone into shape. Who knows what the end game is for Veritas but it won't be good for the employees.

well, unfortunately I have witnessed this first hand. I was rebadged to Infinite, along with 300+ others.

its an absolute mess!

I'll be the first one to admit it, the testing practice had lots of room for improvement, in no small part due to the absence of leadership from K.ell.y P. , but sending us to infinite exacerbated every single issue thanks to the utter incompetence from the Gainwell testing VP, who seems to have only been hired with the sole purpose of running the testing practice to the ground, and the outstanding and sheer cluelessness of the Infinite upper management.

if things over at NTT are only half as bad as they are here at infinite, oh boy, are they in trouble.

if Veritas is trying to run gainwell into the ground...good Job!!! they are doing exactly that.

I agree. Gainwell is past its expiration date.

Veritas has something planned.

Previous comment is insane. OP has an excellent point.

My guess is that Veritas has some higher level corrupt end game pre decided already. Call it Gravity or Destiny. Gainwell is doomed.
