The key in that response is “not been communicated”. In other words, the carefully worded scripts that these leaders are all woodenly reading deliberately do not answer the question of what’s next. And all the meetings I’ve heard of, they deliberately skirt the question of how many and when.
They want massive headcount cut. Period.
If the leaders told us the true percentage or numbers there would be mass panic.
They will evaluate how many volunteers they have then make up the difference with involuntaries.
If you think they won’t do this and also consider taking even the most popular employees, you are sadly mistaken.
We are nothing but numbers on a spreadsheet to them.
