Someone said recently that anyone working Permian assets will have to move to Midland and all of the other Basins will be run out of OKC. Is this true?

How are the public schools in the M&O area? I’d love to get 30 acres and a ballin Polaris side by side. Only a half dozen or so dozen hours from decent ski slopes.
I love the ***k measuring! Fight! fight!
Jerry! Jerry!
I think the real question is will the dvn culture change? Will anyone be held accountable for years of unethical behaviour?
Nahhhhhhh
@wm Devon made $1.1 Billion more in free cash flow in 2025 then Coterra even with all that G&A. Hmmmm
@wm anyone who throws out comments like '3 to 1 headcount' without context to cost or activity shouldn't be taken seriously. There are a lot of misperceptions from both companies about who is 'lean' and who 'operates better' and most are false or at best misleading as you dive into the details.
You underestimate the dvnites skill in throwing other people in front of the layoff bus. They have perfected the art of empire building and job protection.
Many other lean companies merged with us and yet here we are, prevailing and thriving.
We know how to get rid of others to protect our own skins
Devon G&A is already through the roof with the 3 to 1 employee they have to Coterra. I would prefer OKC, but you have to be realistic on which side most of the layoffs are happening
@s3 that’s a good way to overpay for and run up your G&A. My bet is a lot of those jobs end up in OKC or Houston. Don’t think you’ll find a very large contingent wanting to move to Midland and they aren’t going to want to hire that many people.
Doesn’t matter where they put people, it’ll be more of them same.
Can we skip to the good part where everyone has their lives upended due to unemployment or relocation?
Midland they can poach employees from other companies. OKC there is not much
If one of the negatives of OKC is that it is a smaller talent pool to recruit from then I can’t see why a Midland office would be the solution.
And nothing in Houston? Doubtful
shut your mouth
