Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

When are these changes being announced?

When will these rumors start to get announced? Can’t wait to do performance review next week just to then tell my remote team their pay band changed…ugh.

@wf Oh! But it does. I provided a service on a mutually agreed upon contract. I fulfilled my end of the bargain and expect the same from the bank (in terms of compensation and ratings). They DO owe us.

You people are a bunch of whiners. The company doesn't owe you anything. If you are unhappy look for a better job.

@b4 After reading this I feel like you looked into my soul and typed out exactly what I am thinking on a daily basis. My first year at US Bank was great but it's been a constant and uninterrupted slide downwards ever since. Though unsettling it's nice knowing I'm not the only one feeling this way.

@jp pay adjustments lol. That's hilarious. Good one.

This is the same company that will make you drive 30 miles one way, and make you go into an office that will raise your tax by 2%. And then turn around and give you a 1% raise at the end of the year.

How about people that were hired as remote pre-Covid? And now have to go to a hub, will there be any pay adjustments for gas etc?

I have no solid intel, but I do have 20+ years here and have been right more often than I’d like in the last few years in terms of what they will do next as the wheels have been falling off the USB bus. This place is a sad shell of what it once was, our motto was the best bank in America now we are a joke. All I can say is stop trying to figure out what the next slap in your face will be and start doing what is best for you and your family now. I used to say, “I’m not leaving! They can severance me!” Now I refuse to give them any more of myself. Start an exit strategy now if you are unhappy because it will never get better. The USB we loved is dead, we just need to decide if we want to work at the new version.

@a3 Pay bank remains the same. Geo code is targeted at national average, so C.

Only thing keeping US Bank afloat is corporate contracts. Being negotiated for 2026 and 2027 with expiring contracts at 10-20 Fortune 100 companies. Poor customer service and lagging response time will lead to the end of many soon.

Well I can tell you senior leaders know remote comp and/or rewards are changing. So that tells me it’s imminent. Meaning, it’s happening. But not sure if it’s in December, January or comp communication time.
