Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

The Richmond Mafia has gotten rid of another good one

C1 is famous for its performance evaluation system that it borrowed from GE and look how it affected GE :)

The other part that no one talks about here are the extreme cliques that pile up on talented people till they leave the company on their own. The cliques are a group of "old timers" - usually from Richmond (hence, Richmond Mafia).
Just found out about another talented leader leaving on his own.

This guy was engaging with us and coming up with solid ideas and directions - not a talker type but his experience and attitude was showing through his work. They figured out how to get rid of him.

Dudes - we know who you are. Jumping from group to group every year and playing politics doesn't really hide your stupidity from us.

Rich - when will you acknowledge that the system is broken and get rid of the players instead ??

Be patient y'all.
The rumor is that a big shake up is due and R.F. is waking up to the reality. You cannot run an org with deceit and politics at the top.
They will reorg the arch teams and try to get back a few of the folks that had left in disgust.

I know who you are talking about.
A.N. was a really high energy guy always bringing in new ideas.
The leadership at C1 doesn't like him.

Post from TheLayoff.com

Bring back A.N. and put him back in charge. S.P. , G.R., T.H. etc will come back and make a better arch organization.

@idor+1h7uDDMz There are a lot of insecure people in charge. That's another part of the problem. They have been successful because they don't stay in one department for too long. Once they move , their followers also scatter. Rinse, repeat till they retire.

A lot of people agree with what you are suggesting, but that won't happen since the whole leadership chain is like that.

I don't see any solution ahead unless there is a huge shake up.

They should give PS, CP and their cronies the golden handshake and bring back SP as DCA.
We need engineering leaders not bs architects.

Ha, ha.
Some of the guys who were making him a scapegoat have started jumping off the ship :) :)
Only at Capital One is it possible to keep moving around if you have no talent other than shooting your mouth and pulling people down.

Ya. It's hard to focus with someone good leaving everyday.
At some point it will be hard to replace them.
