Too many unqualified "engineers" and "managers" in Clifton who begged and lied their way into those jobs . Lab "managers" and so called "manufacturing engin" with no formal education and no real function need to be let go . Years of kissing as--s and ratting people out is not the equivalent of a college degree.

I heard there will be mechanical and quality engineers in this next layoff in Clifton. I wonder if there is any truth to that I guess we’ll find out next week. Laying off directors and senior managers would probably be the best move because Clifton is so dysfunctional and being managed remotely from Florida, which is one of the biggest mistakes, we are extremely top-heavy with duplicate roles in many departments.

@19k SAS. Just confirmed one of those three was told they are getting let go, they haven't given them a date yet which is kind of weird considering they usually let you go that same day. Not sure what area inside of SAS the others are going to be from.

Critical work on a major EW contract is outsourced to Mercury Electronics while Clifton employees go on PTO because of lack of work.
The biggest contract (IDECM) is 4 years behind . Viper shield has not delivered a single working unit since it began 3 years ago . Catnulka is on indefinite pause.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see into the future for this soon to be empty building.

It's really gonna su-k for those of you in Clifton if you're a married couple both working there. Wonder if you'll both get laid off at the same time?
And will your familiar faces be welcomed at your next job application?
I guess it depends on how many toes you stepped on to get your spouse that job in the first place.
Karma really su-ks don't it.

@1dk there is a lot of L3Harris “leadership” that needs to go including senior managers and directors. We will definitely see some of this happen before the end of the month.

Contract Director has been there too long without success.
He's an albatross.

@10s Phil Forgione (also in Clifton, NJ) needs to be FIRED immediately. His obscene incompetence has destroyed any chance of retaining any semblance of talent. L3Harris leadership better take notice of this "lowest common denominator".

@ag what is the message? If you used too much, you're in trouble? It's "unlimited" but it's really 4 weeks unless you can obtain some high level approval to have more.

Expect one on the 30th. That is the date that the California people get laid off. They will cut whoever else they are going to cut on the same day.

@pc
I wouldn't call them losers. These are very desperate people trying to cling to the only job that pays anything decent. They all know they would never get a job paying this much. They know they're overpaid and underworked and they love it. Having to move to another company where they would work harder and maybe make less money is horrifying to them. They stay because they literally have no place to go.

If union people don't have any paid time off left they'll just take off without pay.. But If you're management out of PTO and worried about not getting paid, no worries. Just use that "unlimited" sick time you've all been bragging about.
Just in time for those back to school expenses and of course Christmas just 111 days away.
Nobody to blame but yourselves. You all saw this coming and ignored multiple opportunities to move on but you stayed. Did you think you were going to be rewarded for your loyalty? Or maybe the posts on this board were correct that you are just that overpaid and underqualified?
No worries. There are 7 million unfilled jobs nation wide. Go and get one that suits your actual qualifications. Like making sure my pumpkin spice latte has a lid on it and that you wipe the bird sh-t from my windshield after you put gas in my car.
I'll be looking forward to seeing you in your new roles Clifton losers.

After the layoffs all of Clifton will move to PTO time including union. Clifton is trying to save money by sc--wing the employees.

Unable to fill positions with qualified people and unable to build and ship a product in time. This is what the Clifton site has become. A black hole for money for the company.

Word on the street is people are retiring and the younger generation is avoiding L3Harris like the plague which is lessening the need for layoffs while the company bleeds talent meanwhile the people left remaining are too stupid to jump in the life raft of a sinking ship.

My manager tells me here in Clifton that HR is totaling up all of the PTO used this year by non-union personnel. There are meetings scheduled.
