Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

The silence is very telling

Whenever I sit in on a team meeting, nobody talks. Nobody volunteers ideas. Nobody seems to care. And when people stop caring, the company stops working. I think we're watching the slow collapse.

@vf There are absolutely no opportunities at DXC. Stay well clear. The people still with the company all have a side hustle or already setup financially, and will not be seeking any form of further employment. We are all over 55 and now ready to retire. We stay and put up with only in the hope of collecting a very nice severance package that will set us up for life. You don't give up on a game you've been playing for a week 30 seconds before the end! And neither do you jack in a job you've had for 35 years, when redundancy is expected by Christmas. We have given up moaning about salary. We know it's 0% forever. But it does justify why nobody cares, and the company lost 1/3 of it's stock value this week. We just have to make ourselves as unhelpful and useless as our management to make it all come true. And then his forum can close as there won't be a DXC anymore.

Wow if Dxc is so bad, why do you unprofessionals stay? Get your CV/Reaume updated and find a new employer ?

What utter babies bi--hing every day and not doing your job ! You are bad a salary and if you don’t like it then leave already.

I came here hoping to find information about better opportunities and all I see is little babies bi--hing

Only two things are certain in dxc. One, revenue will keep declining. Two, executives at the top and maybe one or two levels down well continue to get their grossly over paid rewards and salaries for not lifting a finger to grow this company.

You're not in DXC to make a diffrerence, you're there to be used up and spat out as cheaply as possible

every time I cared, had an idea or reported a problem they punished me with additional tasks, solving the problem and so on atop of my daily tasks. So I shut up

Guys, it will never fall. You know why? Because it has multibillion dollar contracts with governments. They can do whatever they want with other accounts, because the spice will flow anyway. And even if they mess up, the governments will rescue it - like they did with Atos. That's the worst - they do not even have to compete, they are secured, they can focus on squeezing every last penny. Or not.

I think we used to care. But it got us nowhere. All our ideas just got p-o-p-o'd that if the client hasn't formally requested it, then we aren't going to be doing it. Don't try and go above and beyond - the pay rise is still 0%. Stop creating extra work for anyone even having to listen to you. Eventually you learn to just keep your mouth shut. So now we do only what you are asked, and then wait until you're asked to do the next thing.

Nobody wants to admit they aren't very busy, or even that they hate the place, and are busy planning their exit. Nobody wants a friend at DXC. Especially when most of our colleagues are just faceless voices on teams calls who you will never meet. They sometimes say they are busy. I doubt it - I'm not.

the company has become the corporate equivalent of trying to spray perfume over a pile of sh-t. no amount of branding and ai buzzwords change what’s underneath.

I also have been noticing that what used to be friendly banter on teams calls before the actual meeting starts, is gone. We probably don't talk about employee engagement any longer because ours is so bad.
