Our manager just told us that upper management said to grab some IPA (Alcohol) and clean common areas where our plane is. We are in Everett and this is ridiculous. How do they know it will be COVID-19 free? They don’t . This is stupid and needs to stop.

Trust was already at a low point before the death, and for all the promises of transparency, we learn more from the news than our leadership.

After the death (which may be the first of many) a layoff or furlough, or really anything without pay or reduction in force will make them look like uncompassionate tools. It will be the final straw in what has been a horrible 2 decades at Boeing.

They won't be able to hire anyone anymore (many were already skeptical going in), engineering or on the floor.

Boeing will cease to exist in the next 24 months.

I agree. I work for them and in a room with at least 30 people. A shelter in place was ordered by the county they are in, but did Boeing listen? NO. We are all expected to be there.

At least retool your and start making something to HELP during this pandemic. Make some masks, gloves, ventilators or something other than planes that no one wants right now. Be part of the solution instead of begging for a bailout. I am an 22+ yr employee with both my children employed by Boeing. Used to be proud of that but last 6+ years have been very disappointing and we have all lost our hope in Boeing. Not about the safety, only about the stock. Which is why I haven’t owned Boeing stock for many years!!! Remember Enron.

How many machinists in Puget Sound? Times $81 or whatever it is now.... times 12 months.... how much $$ does the union get from us annually ...? What are they doing with all that $$? We keep them fat & fed all year long, they can’t step in & protect their members? I say we all band together & address this to them publicly, and not permit them to spin it any other way. 48 million annually, according to my math ( 50k machinists, please correct me if I’m wrong) that’s 48 MILLION DOLLARS a year.
