@14z that is what happened. D-mb little legal loophole.

@14w that appears to be their method given neither the March Utah nor the June TMG layoffs evidently qualified for WARN. I’m unsure of how WARN defines “single site”—is that a fab, North Campus, North Dallas, Texas???

I also heard someone say that when they got the boot TI actually kept them and their fellow layoffees on as special employees for 60 days and that qualified under WARN. Not sure how true this is story-wise or legal-wise.

How is this going to be done at scale if there is no WARN notice posted? Rolling cuts through eoy?

Does anyone know if RSUs would vest early?

@10q in the past, it's been up to that quarter.

Hearing 10% across all ti by end of Q4. Salaried employees targeted, hourly will see smaller impact. 2 phase reduction plan could start Wednesday. Lots of rumors being floated, but be prepared.

Honestly think this will be company-wide. Businesses, support, TMG. Good luck to us all. Based on the past, if you get a random meeting invite or message, guess that’s it.

@10q I think it’s prorated - so you’d get 75% worst case.

@10q I’m curious about RSUs, do employees typically see accelerated vesting in the severance?

Do we still get profit sharing if we are let go?

Are H1b or recent opt hires or in process of getting GC via CHIPS safe?

What about sales and marketing?

Allegedly Haviv is making drastic changes to Analog, EP and also investments. And increasing dividend at the same time is quite a message to employees….

Sounds more like 5-7%, not quite 10.

@v7 10% would be huge. The layoffs in 2009 were 10%, and that was with the stock price in the toilet and the economy on fire.

@wr First heard the rumor from a coworker (support org in south campus), but a few people I know in TMG confirmed they heard it from their end as well

I agree that Wednesday is most likely if they're coming—the last two (at least for TMG) happened on Wednesday and Thursday.

Where is everyone getting their information (HR, managers, water cooler)? There has been no talk of layoffs around my workplace, so not sure if that's ignorance or something else.

What I've heard is that it's coming on Wednesday and that it'll be company wide. I'm in Operations and there have recently been some big reorgs (with some jobs looking like they can be perceived as redundant now) so I'm kind of worried.

Hearing 10% of BU and Fab, and up to 30% of IT, targeting 50+ age range but nobody is safe including tech staff

I know of people refusing to RTO and being put on PIPs so those people shouldn't be surprised if they don't RTO. I only know of a few high value people getting around this.
