Let's make 1 thing VERY fng clear. Some of you still don't get it.
The official DEI program and HR recruiting never had any program where they hired by gender or race above merit. I laid of people who were minorities, and at NO TIME did HR or DEI come to me pushing back due to some quota.
If there is hiring going on where people who are less qualified getting hired, getting hired because they are a woman or non-white, that is discrimination, not DEI.
But I bet some of you will still refuse to get that through your heads.
DEI existed BECAUSE of discrimination, making sure the MORE qualified candidate A who happens to be a black woman gets picked over the LESSER qualified candidate B who happens to be white male. That black lady was passed over for decades because of some nonsense discriminatory reason "not a good culture fit".
In some cases that white dude who didn't get picked and complanined about DEI, well he wasn't as good as he thought he was, or if the was a tie, then he felt he was entitled to it more than her.
DEI would have never happened if white men (like me) would have never discriminated decade after decade.
Now, individual managers, directors, yes there's probably discrimination going on (illegal) but that is NOT DEI.
