there was a RIF of approx 40 people yesterday (yes, Wednesday) on the accums side of claims ops

That's the goal. They would rather have people quit then pay them severance. If they stay great they will stay underpaid and overworked and they will keep grinding them into dust.
The goal is to get rid of everyone

No RIFs this week. They ran out of employees to RIF.
Can you feel the total drain of your co workers - just trying to make it to the end of every day - constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop knowing it doesn't matter if what they do - I see so many people in a constant state of dread and depression - what this place has turned into is beyond sad -
