Just was wondering if layoffs could start as soon as first quarter is done. Is April shaping up to be the prime month a shakedown could happen?

@1fq Fear monger? Sweetie, no one is fear mongering. You can pick the news source of your choice, but all agree AI is here and is going to disrupt a whole lotta things. I just used Amazon Health AI to get treatment for bacterial sinusitis in less time than I could have drove over to the UTC. Antibiotic prescription sent to my pharmacy and all. Yeah, I’m sold. If you want to keep your head buried so be it. Your job will or will not survive based on economic realities, not because you “love it”. Join us here in the adult world, won’t you??

@v2 I would agree with that sentiment. The entire industry is in trouble. Not to mention it looks very vulnerable to significant AI disruption. I’m looking to exit ASAP and you should too. Jobs are scarce enough. Waiting until the whole industry goes down doesn’t seem like a sound strategy to me.
@qx It isn't about losing "all" membership. If you lose enough of the healthy people and are left with just the oldest, sickest, poorest, the company can't make money, and that means you lose your job. And that's the path Ambetter and any other company with a large book of marketplace business is on right now. You need to start taking steps to protect your career and livelihood immediately. My advice would be to get out of this industry entirely if you can.
@qx The lack of understanding of how bad this administration wants to end “Obamacare” is amusing. You may not lose every member, but you will continuously hemorrhage profitable members until all you have left are the high utilizers. If that doesn’t get your job, AI will. It’s death by a thousand cuts

Marketplace is losing members across the board and expecting more throughout the year. If you work for a marketplace health plan like I do, start applying out ASAP. One team member accepted another position and we were told there is not guaranteed their position will be backfilled
When you have been told to track you time spent in each project and that Copilot needs to be a part of your every move….something is coming.
