Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Is anybody really on the know with any real details?

I’m hearing December 1st, 8th, 15th, layoffs have already started, re-org is coming, 1NA is coming, sending jobs to Russia, sending jobs to Mexico, 3000 layoffs, he-l somebody even said 20%+ which would mean 60k+ employees and would be the biggest layoff in American history for a single company.

Does anybody have any solid information on real December layoffs or restructuring and what groups are impacted. Frontline? Managers? Division, HQ? Etc.

@OP I wouldn't worry about layoffs this go around since it'll only be small numbers, a few here and there.

@he just about every company doing mass layoffs still hiring some, and has masses of ghost jobs posted.

Nestle case in point even after announcing 10k plus cuts

@he that means nothing. I’ve seen hiring before closing and sometimes it depends on the role. I was hired and 8 motnhs later they laid off

@f9 the beverage division is still hiring. Maybe there is no layoffs.

We’ll have to wait. The ones that know aren’t talking at least here. One thing for certain is that this is one of many cuts to come so get ready

Marketing maybe because of the division cuts. The rest of the jobs listed are good. The sales rep being eliminated It’s already happening across the board, but it is a process over time. Coming to a plant near you, and no reps, no manager

@cs in addition to truly Frontline sales teams, there's 20 people sitting around in "commercial" doing "key account management" "marketing" and other less than useful things supporting large retail and foodservice distributors...those likely to get cut and cut really hard, someone earlier pointed out those customers at this point just want product on shelves.

How about some real insight.
Divisions being reduced. Duplication of jobs being reduced. There’s train coming down the tracks looking for about 2500 to layoff

Not new news. Correct this is already in the works but it’ll take time to get everything moved off the sales team

@cs maybe not this round but they are working on it. Look at your location. Are they setting up more PD customers than pre sell? Also combining frito and Pepsi going from 2 to 1 sales rep. Look at Texas

@ak means nothing to them. They will turn everything to pD get rid of sales merch might stay. They will let them know that don’t have a job and not blink

@OP I can’t imagine that many layoffs. In beverage division they just hired 3 new frontline employees this week.
