Employee Surveys

When are the employee surveys coming out? I have a Band 3 that deserves ZEROs across the board. A good majority of my team is on LOA because this Band 3 is insufferable!!

@qd 100% agree, it’s the only recourse. The increased surveillance of wfh feels punitive and calculated to drive attrition. Ignore the survey and quiet quit as much as possible. Viva la resistance!

Do you want to drive upper management absolutely crazy? Don’t take the survey. They never act on the results. They just hold little yellow sticker meetings and put a big check mark on their year end reviews. How are they going to explain that to BM? Sorry big Bri, they’re just sick of no one listening

A B3 here (not a bad one) :-D Please know your voice speaks WAY louder if you do NOT participate in the survey. Again, if you do NOT participate.

Why?

Because the Key Metric Mngt and HR gets all hot-and-bothered about is "Employee Engagement" -- which is their obtuse phrase for plain ole Participation Rate.

THIS is the number they report to media as a euphemistic way to represent "Satisfaction".

Which it is clearly NOT.

Brian's DRs are all measured on the Participation rate (aka "Engagement")

HR is forced to hound these DRs, who in turn, hound their DRs, to get everyone to participate.

Doe not matter one iota WTF anyone actually says or the actual ratings. It's just that one number they care about. BTM DRs actually compare themselves to each other on who gets the most participation. It's a farce, and it's sick.

Ever notice how no real action is ever taken on the actual results? That's b/c it Does Not Matter. Just the Employee Engagement/Participation Rate that they tout to Media.

So if you really want to make a dffierence, F*** your manager by giving him/her/they a big fat Zero on participation.

They will be forced by HR to hound you to your team to get to 100%, but don't fall for it. The reports do not show who actually participated or not.

If you have like-minded teammates, I encourage you to be brave, ignore the bullying and Not Participate.

Believe me, THAT will be noticed and heard.

May not change anything if your B3 is a Favorite, but if anything will get attention, THAT certainly will. I truly hope it gets better for you and your team.

As part of the year-end review process, every employee should have to do a review of their boss.

Why???? Doing the surveys is just blah, blah, blah to senior management. Every year, I get more feedback on how important surveys are to BofA but no actions were taken afterwards. If you want to give all negative remarks and low numbers, then fill out the survey. This is the only time that you will get satisfaction in the employee survey. Afterwards, it was a waste of time as management will just ignore them. There is more an impact when more and more employees do not fill out the surveys. Just my thought for this morning while sipping my home brewed coffee...
