Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

2nd year Analyst Bonus

I got partially meets expectations at year end. I have just got £4.5k in bonus. This company is an absolute joke even to the well treated analysts but it is hard to find reasons to leave when analysts can expect these bonuses for sub par work. The atmopshere in office is tense as we can sense the hatred as the rumours spread. Other analysts have reported managers and supervisors being overly critical or leaving them out of work out of spite. Worst of all, most analysts considering leaving after the 2 year program.

@q4 10k seems very high for analysts? It seems like everyone on these threads don’t get bonuses so that’s a little high.

The hard truth is that our analyst program bonuses (at least for market facing and front office analysts) aren’t competitive relative to other banks. I think expectations analysts in those roles got about $10k, idk what analysts in back office and support functions got. That $10k isn’t even close to competitive against what other programs at other banks are paying. Of course even $10k is probably a lot compared to what the back office gets.

Well you're lucky, as I got less than half that with a 'meets' being VP level. A little over 2%, and yet industries that are allowed a union would be on strike.

@aa exactly and they have been getting them even when just hitting the floor. And lets not forget the 9/1 bonus for competitive pay they got and regular employees didnt . plus their starting pay is far higher than sr. Admins with experience. Sorry but no sympathy from me

This is a terrible place to work. I started in the analyst program in 2025 and it took me less than a year to see that this place is AWFUL!!!!!

Some people met all of their expectations and didn't get as much as you. I suggest you stop complaining.

@aj
Nope you’ll get that back. If the 5% isn’t enough for 2 shares the cash will come back to you. Not sure when.

@a4+1kf9jdhsz Sounds nice. I haven’t gotten that much in over 15 years. I’ve been here a lot longer than you and got a higher rating and work ata higher level. My bonus was $2,000 USD and they took 5% to go towards company stock. Fricken je-k!
