Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Don't listen to them.....follow your heart!

I once had a claim manager tell me my house will be my retirement. I laughed at him and politely walked away. I retired early and got 50 to 60% of the pension. That was well over 10 years ago. Make your own plans. Listen to your heart and never let them control your future. You are in charge of yourself and know claims will take your health. Don't let them do it!

@py oh and BTW remember SF does not have enough money to buy your TIME and HEALTH. They have brainwashed you to believe they can. The hardest part of retiring is the first 90 days to detox from SF toxicity.

@py absolutely none! Not one! Just make sure you have no liabilities in have paid child support, alimony, divorce, bankruptcy, alcohol or substance abuse problems (like many who have had to stay longer) you should be just fine. At 60 as a claim specialist you should be more than ready unless you wasted a lot of money.

Any regrets taking pension early? I am concerned about even a 15% reduction in my pension if I take at age 60 to get out of this place.

2026 is the last year of a pension contribution and all future contributions will be frozen 12/31/26. Part of the great 2026 purge!

@aq Some of you have no clue how the pension works, and it shows.

@d7 like I say follow your heart. The sooner you understand they do not care about you and they lie for their self benefit, the stronger you become. Know no one no matter what title is not better than you. They think they are but it is all image and phoney.

Interesting the anti-pension troll removed their post?

@aq please stop trolling with these. There have been multiple posts on how this does not make a difference. Employees like myself had the pension as a benefit but a much lower 401k match than newer employees. Are you saying that the Company should get rid of the bigger 401k match then as well? Not helpful in this forum.
