Something big is going down in Spec Chem. Either a sell off or something disruptive. NDAs are being issued and signed. Rumor is Borger is going to be sold off.

@sj2 there never was one. They have tried to sell Borger since the Project Athena days.
They can’t no one wants a low margin high risk venture.

I can see Phillips 66 wanting Borger (?), they are already there. Would not surprise me if Cpchem sold Pasadena, union terrible, going to make us lose our jobs.

Many attempts to sell Bor ger have floundered in the past. No matter how much you polish that tu-d, you can’t get it shiny enough to sell. Just like a tu-d, it’s probably better left in someone’s backyard. In all likelihood, the refinery will buy it for pennies on the dollar and I hope they get rid of all the leadership immediately and run it as the sulfur unit it was designed to be. Should be able to get rid of about 150 people immediately.
