70% of graduate students are international. Anecdotally my observation is that of the 30% US students, 50% don't end up with positions that have much actual industrial value i.e. glorified salesman or accountant
zzzzzzz
H1B needed at Intel since quality of US based employees so low. Especially OP.
@ct = LAME, low IQ, LAME =
Well it is well known that our H1B hater OP gives superior citizen blowjobs so that is a good reason to stop the H1Bs
@OP yes^yes @@@
Canceling h1bs will immediately stop layoffs and get rid of low wages
The H1B program was created for a good reason. Unfortuantely greedy corporations started to abuse it, and left unchecked it grew to the monster it is today.
Short answer: No. Long answer: The H-1B program was created by the Immigration Act of 1990, which amended the Immigration and Nationality Act to allow U.S. employers to temporarily hire foreign workers in "specialty occupations" requiring a bachelor's degree or higher. It was intended to fill labor shortages by allowing companies to hire skilled professionals, primarily in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), who possess specialized knowledge.
There. Now you have the details. Still want to argue this as a partisan issue?
I don't believe OP can count.
@bt
Ok, so you would rather only H1B's working in this county since I have never seen a Democrat work?
I'd rather see h1bs working than repubs.
