Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Gas price in Minnesota

$4.19/gallon and it was $3.30/gallon last year. Will they increase our merit this year to drive to office and follow the RTO policy?

Almost $7 here. Anyone who says use mass transit is insane. That ~20 mile commute would require 3 different bus lines and take 2 hours and 39 minutes according to google maps. Repeat on the way home.

@ns yea this response from them is especially tone deaf considering that the raises across the board were either non,-existent or so far below keeping up with COL and inflation it's insulting. They're so far removed from reality it's disgusting. They have no idea what it's like to have to choose between gas in your car to get to their stupid hubs or food for your family.

Some of us have gas at $5.76 already and climbing. Make it make sense cause I can’t but again the MC doesn’t give a damn. They run the Hubs like slum lords as well.

OP I can't even remember the last time gas was that low here in LA. It's almost $7 a gallon now for supreme (which some cars require).

Good luck. They will increase offshoring and they told us over and over that they do not care about employees.

If they give it any thought at all, it will likely be towards the hope that this will keep people in office for a full day to make the drive in worth it.

I suppose we should all follow GK's advice and "make some friends" and form carpools.

@ac @a2 So the company is allowed to focus on "expense management" but I'm not allowed to focus on expense management in my own accounts? Is it my fault that I was hired as a remote employee and bought a place to live 29.5 miles away from a hub that didn't even exist at the time? So I'm just supposed to be-doverand let the company fu-k me however they want? Nah. I'm done with this sh-t.

All these boomers in here saying, "quit complaining and do your job" want to keep us stuck in the stone age. I'm convinced they want to be in the office because their wives don't respect them, because they are small, petty people, so work is the only place they have where they feel respected because of a title.

I take the bus to work and I see a lot more people doing the same. The bus is full. It costs me $44 a month to commute to downtown Mpls. I’m lucky I have that option

@ca wow, 50$ for 10 people, big spenders. How many non exempt employees do we have that got shafted on merit this year?

@OP Hang in there. Trump says this jump in fuel prices is just a temporary increase and gas prices will go back down to pre-war levels "very soon". Yeah, right...

@c7

We will see on that, cuck.

Have a nice day and don't inhale too many fumes as you do the only thing you are capable of.

I am on the board and can leak our plans to drive survey engagement. A $50 gas card will be given to 10 random survey participants!!

@a2 actually no, people like you make it worse for everyone else. How's the boot taste? You know it's not going to save you from a layoff.

At this point i’m considering sc--w going into the office, this whole rto thing doesn’t make your job any more secure if layoffs happen.

They didn't cut your pay during covid. Good grief, quit the complaining and find another job. All of the complainers make it worse for everyone else.
