It was supposed to go live in February however, I guess sh!t didn't get done fast enough or something, and has been pushed back a quarter. I think it's May or something now, idfk... JC literally said "to be clear, this won't be pushed back further." - aka if it's not, heads will be flying.
At least that's what I've been told by someone who is part of the NDA thing, so i dont know how true this actually is.
but this NDA thing has been Dell's NUMBER 1 PRIORITY for the last year and so I'm worried because it got pushed back, this will affect raises, or even cause more layoffs than usual in Feb.

Wow, is CloudIQ or whatever it is called now, going to be greatly impacted by this salesforce replacement?
@ns I kinda hope it does flop tbh... JC made it clear that it "wont be pushed again" - whatever tf that actually means - but given dells history of things like this... my bet is that it won't be ready to go live in 2026 at all. Like someone else said, there are over 20k employees "involved" in this project but realistically, there are likely less than 100 people who have some kind of idea of anything at all. I know enough of what's going on through little birdies but, it sounds like a complete cluster and nobody REALLY knows wtf is going on lol. I'd say more but I like my job so I'll leave it at that.
I heard (from a very high source) that Dell are McKinseys biggest customer right now.
Its bigger than a one quarter push problem. This is either going to get stretched out to infinity or someone is going to wave a white flag and it will go bye-byr like APEX.
Straight up, JC looks like a twit right now. MD has gone ghost and JC is flailing as leadership. What a time to be alive!
@k4 don’t worry, the project will be a failure just like every other software project at Dell.
@n5 Take that Trump/Jeffery best friends meme and replace it with Larry and MD lol
@n1 yeah its 100% politics. Otherwise we'd still have salesforce as our main. We are only swapping because they no longer wanted a partnership. Which is why going in deep on a sh---y software like what oracle has for a short term hardware deal is braindead
@hc
Mav relying on Oracle, both Ellison and MD involved in the tiktok deal.
I think the choice of the provider has little to do with technology and lots with politics and personal interests.
@db and 22000 of us will be out of a job if it works half as well as they are planning.
@hc Oh snap...it's Oracle? Good luck guys, I feel for you. Maybe eventually Bain will advise Palantir be brought on to add an Ontology layer and automation (the part they are actually good at), but that's $100s of Millions from now.
(I used to implement EBS and it brought little joy to anyone...these days my old clients all have something similar to PLTR sitting on top of it making it functional)
Hilarious, the whole Oracle sh-t is the worst decision made. Cr-ppy SW and terrible support, implementation. I hope MD will regret this decision as there are tons of better options on the market, more flexible, faster, offering more features and less false promises.
@OP If anything delaying the NDA project will delay massive layoffs as it's sole purpose is to put the majority of Dell employees out on the street so MD can buy a mega yacht or whatever thing he's in to.
22500 people are actively involved and sign the NDA
It will be delayed indefinitely. It just can't be automated in the current state. It needs to start from scratch and they need hire people who know what they are doing. Honestly it should have started right after EMC merger. Good luck!
you will be saarry
Yes saar it is very good. We work very hard on it saar.
slow the train down folks or you'll be off at the next stop
Mergers and acquisition talk will be coming. Dell is modernizing their system and trimming the fat to make the company look more attractive. Don’t be a sheep! Wake up and recognize we are feeding the beast at our own expense!!
Stop being a chicken little....theres no reason for it to affect merit raises or anything else.
Its VERY frustrating to teams like mine who busted their as--s for months and got all of our stuff done all for it to be delayed.
Hurry up and wait has been the story of this company for years now.
Can you share more details on why it would impact annual merit cycle?
