Notice requirements for VP, SVP, D when leaving

Anyone know what the notice requirements are for VP, SVP, Director when giving notice? I know it's not 30 minutes like when being riffed.

I was a director who was supposed to give 60 days. Told them I was leaving at 30 days, they said I would be put on the 'do not hire' list. I laughed hard enough to break a rib. left at 30 days and started my new job. No bonus clawback. F that place and especially F the morally bankrupt HR dept there.

@15f fired with cause. ‘Cause’ being the key word here. Unfortunately they are fabricating cause. What you are hearing is not tomorrow, trust me. They are axing people for no reason and attempting to pay little to no severance. This is the norm vs a rumor. I’ve heard rumors that maybe some people have still received 2 weeks severance per year of service but that is an exception vs what they are doing in general. If you work there and pay attention, you’ll figure this out eventually.

So who here was fired with no notice? Everyone I know that was tapped left right away but were full employees for AT LEAST 2 weeks receiving pay and benefits. And I've only heard rumors about some people not getting severance or sub benefits but I think those were all people fired for cause.

I heard if you do not give proper notice they will claw back your bonus. Is this true?

This dump gives you no notice and expects 30 days or more to not inconvenience them or the role. Gtfoh. Do not give this shithole more than 2 weeks and thats too much in my opinion. Not our problem they don’t prioritize filling positions timely for one and for two they dont give a sh-t that you get notice about losing your job or income here. Fu-k them

@OP Notice period not relevant at BNY. Give them zero notice. Just don’t show up, keep laptop and badge until they ask for it back 6 months or so later. It will not be challenged. You don’t owe them anything. They have no capacity to fight back if you challenge them.

@nd, you should try thinking once in a while. NOBODY is fired on the spot at BK.

@ev You're still incorrect but we'll let you think whatever you want. Good luck to you.

@fh I happened to resign when my 30 days would be up mid-cycle. After transition of workloads most will leave you alone. I literally was left on my own and enjoyed the recharge like another poster said.

@cp, you and the 14 downvotes on my post @ap are sofa king we todd did. You are still employed for WEEKS after you're notified that you're RIF'd. You have benefits and get paid even though you don't have to show up. I'm not surprised someone in HR is stoopid to think that's not giving notice...

30 days or...what? Besides accrued vacation.

Those sc-mbags tried to tell me I couldn’t take my accrued vacation when I put in my notice
I took it anyhow and just didn’t mark it down and I used the rest of my months notice to do nothing related to that dump. Used it as time to recharge before I started my new gig.

F them.

@ap Incorrect. The RIF conversation is actually less than 30mins and not everyone receives severance. Don't speak on things that you don't know. Sincerely, someone on the People Team.

Just put my notice in last week. It’s 30 days for VPs in the US. I’ll be taking 2 weeks of vacation in the interim (they don’t pay you out for accrued vacation days)!

Question- why can’t you just quit immediately?!?! I wouldn’t give them one second’s notice. Don’t be a simp. They don’t care about you- why should you care about them?

Nobody being riffed is given 30 minutes notices. They get close to a month PLUS severance.

Check the corresponding policy. In the US, VP & SVP is 30 days, Director - 60 days.
