Toxic, woke, DEI‑obsessed culture. Leaving was the best thing to happen to me professionally. Now I WFH for a reputable BD/RIA firm, make more money, and have acquired additional certifications and licenses in the process. I've seen others take the severance packages, only to come back a couple of years later when nothing else came their way. There are better jobs out there, but it takes grit and determination. Be confident and persistent, and you will succeed.

I left in wave 3 in March.

To any in the July wave reading this, do what you have to do mentally to get through these final 60 days and get your severance.

Leaving was the best thing that happened to my career. I was afraid to leave because the TIAA job was so brain dead and easy and the pay was so good.

I was wrong about being afraid of post TIAA life. New job outside TIAA is more stimulating, better pay and the culture is not the drowning depression of a floundering, failing, has been firm.

Get organized and start applying yesterday. You can find great opportunities and advance your career and be happier.

@na agree. Over 400 Denver folks laid off and another 25 in Denver that I know of (though probably more) who left the company since the news broke out in August 2024.

Also lets not forget the roughly 300 or so Accenture associates that will likely be gone by December or February next year.

We are losing a lot of bright and talented people due to this closing. At least our CEO has a private jet. That will help all these people sleep well at night.

Yeah they knew since before the August 2024 announcement as it was a rumor for months or years before it...

But I think OP is saying their goodbyes or something and it su-ks because we're losing a lot of talented and experienced teammates and friends.
