Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What's getting hit next week?

We all know more layoffs are coming, it's the new norm. Any thoughts on what could be targeted next?

@n0 @kj Anyone have info for 11/19 layoff ? Which orgs?

You're wrong! They are giving out promotions in Coursey's Team under Grieves!!

Since Cameron Coursey is leaving soon, I'd assume that the IoT org is being disbanded. Not sure when, but propbably by years end.

From a credible source.

First Round - Notification on 11/21 and exit on 12/5
Second Round - Notification on 12/5 and exit on 12/19

Nothing planned for January 2026, yet 😁👌

Need to close Dallas and move to India , better efficiency and lower cost . Better quality management . Instead of maga let’s have miga - make India great again .

“In my opinion, the younger crowd is being left behind because they are often on their phones”

Most younger employees have already completed the work and are waiting on everyone else to catch up. They are bored and unchallenged, so they are on their phones.

We will have more layoffs due to tariffs and H1B visas , about 600, 000 per the president. Hang in there.

In my opinion, the younger crowd is being left behind because they are often on their phones instead of generating revenue for their employers.

“Next week is for some folks who decided not to relocate to a hub location.”

This isn’t a layoff. It is a resignation

I’ve heard numbers are being ramped up now since Amazon, IBM and Verizon have all recently slashed thousands over the last couple months with little press. T can fly under the radar PR wise if they act fast.

Next week is for some folks who decided not to relocate to a hub location. I am one of those people. This spans across multiple organizations, previously known as CS&O, Contracting, sales support, etc.
