Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Received a call

Hey you guys, I received a call today that I will have to start working from the office again “soon” and I work in Risk. Has anyone else received such notice recently?

Driving around town for no reason isn't contributing to much of anything, but pollution. It's a joke. Our company needs to get more efficient than is possible so long as we have admin buildings. The business won't survive what's coming otherwise, but knowing HY, they won't begin to pivot until it's too late.

Get off your lazy ar-e and get back into the office! Try and contribute something for the money you earn instead of posting nonsense here.

Hard to focus in the office with people chatting, business or not, I put on my headphone and blast heavy metals so I can focus. Works pretty well!!

The remote employees are doing us all a huge favor by continuing to demonstrate what a farce RTO is. I don't begrudge any of them. I'm glad they are out there. Proof of a better time.

I know many people have “exemptions” to work from home. Phony-baloney doctor approved HR wfh accommodations. I hope they become more stringent with the medical exemptions and weed out fake ones where people obviously work the system. Very unfair to the people that are not unscrupulous.

No work happens in office. Just distractions, drama, free coffee, the occasional a-s kissing, and taking a nice long dump. I walk around these places and hardly anyone is talking. Headsets on, head down. There's so many contractors, newbies, vendors, and other randos in the office that people don't even know who others are. Do you even belong in the building? No one knows, or cares. It's a joke and everyone knows it, but people need jobs and that market blows, so people keep trudging in to get their badge swipes. People with good options keep leaving. Dead enders count the day until they get their severance straight into retirement.

There are still an awful lot of people that are hoping that they are special and the boss will see their value and let them continue to live too far for them to both coming into the office. The rest of us are not entitled

Also received word today that we will be back to 4 days in office starting January. Not sure if it’s firmwide or just risk functions though.

@a8 You left the line open so it’s acting like it’s off the hook. Hang up and I’ll call back. I’ve been holding just below peak for what feels like forever now. Hurry up!

I got a call earlier, but it was just a heavy breather.

I've been waiting patiently by the phone, hoping they call back...
