From the start, SMP was poorly defined with vague objectives internally. Externally, it was never spelled out in a compelling way to get clients on board which is the bottom line. Just another opportunity bungled by inept leadership. But in concept, it made sense. And this is the story of larger initiatives at Nielsen through the years. Laughable.
