Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Stop avoiding the Talk To US survey

Too many of you avoid it and think we are being tracked. For god's sake reply to it and DESTROY any question that talks about Managing Committee, Senior Leadership, Leadership, etc.

Yes I know they won't do anything but if you don't share you voice, they will assume the rosey picture they get from all the boot lickers is the majority and those of us who hate the leadership are a small minority.

I am tired of her saying things like "according to the surveys, morale is pretty high". Take that lame a-s excuse from her.

@ch You are correct. It's the same reason there's an option to select if you don't want to or can't contribute to the employee assistance fund, and why they push so hard to get everyone to make a selection, even if you're just opting out.

There's one metric reported publicly - participation.

I think the EAF is a worthy cause and this comment is in no way intended to start a boycott of participation. Just highlighting yet another way the "most ethical company" is a complete sham.

@ka Or better yet report it as phishing!

Don’t even open the email. That counts. Drag to delete folder

@ch one metric and that’s engagement? I know that out CEO and her M o r o n Committee aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed but this is a new low. Thanks for sharing. I am no longer interested in taking the survey for these clowns.

Boycotting is probably the best way. Second best is answer everything negative or neutral (neither agree or disagree).

@a5 This is accurate for RM&C. There is ONE metric that gets reported from the TTUS and that's engagement. Calculated solely on the percentage of employees who engage with the survey.

Only submit negative feedback? +1 engagement point for the MC. They could care less whether it's positive or negative.

So when GK says employee engagement is high, she's not wrong. The metric criteria is just BS. Keep submitting the surveys and they'll keep reporting high employment engagement, while laughing in your face during the all employee meetings.

Do Not Take The Surveys. They only care about engagement numbers, not actual responses.

@ay then explain how I have years of surveys now where I BLAST leadership with the lowest score across the board, and I am still safe. 3 years of layoffs at least, and so far, nothing. Yeah yeah it can happen tomorrow but using your logic, why did I not get targetted before now?

I’m not crazy so yes, I will avoid it. People who take the survey put a target on their back. No thanks.

100% they are not anonymous. I know for a fact my manager got reamed for writing down a super sarcastic response.

@a5 spot on. Clearly it’s retaliation

A friend got in trouble for what she said about her manager on the survey. They are not anonymous!

I fully support participating in the survey and responding with complete honesty. Employees have the right to hold and express opinions- positive, negative, or neutral. That said, be aware that if your team has 5 or more respondents as those direct results roll up to your manager. There may be an expectation that employees will be “required” to create an action plan on the manager’s behalf.

In practice, some managers are requiring employees to participate in development of remediation plans, while accountability for the underlying issues remains with employees rather than leadership. From my perspective, this approach raises concerns about fairness and appears retaliatory in nature for the low results but not surprising in this toxic environment.

I mean, you are being tracked though. They aren't anonymous.

Hard disagree, from experience working leaders and managers who read these numbers. All they look at are the numbers themselves. They rarely even care about thinking about "oh boy look at all people who didn't respond". The leaders assume those people never reply, are too busy to reply, or just forgot. Too many easy "ways out" for those leaders to downplay "non-voters". Seeing hard red numbers below 50% hit much harder.

Honestly i think it says more if everyone boycotts the survey.
