Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Time to fight back

It’s time to unionize, boycott and fight back against the parasite class that are stealing our wages and replacing the workforce with AI. The middle class is all but dead. It’s the parasite greedy one percent class and the working poor. I for one am sick of the wave theft while we are slowly being replaced and told to work harder for the same barely living wage.

Yeah pretty much how every "lets stand up for ourselves" situation goes at SF. just dies on the vine with nothing done, this is why in 10 years the company will be mostly offshored.

"trying to unionize" how? has anyone reached out to any union? I've not heard a peep out of anything realistic other than someone complaining online? As much as I'm not a pro union person i actually think a union would slow the company from destroying itself long term, which is what i think they are doing now, selling the future for a short term bonus.

There have been attempts to organize the claims force at State Farm dating back to the 1970s. The idea is nothing new. Think it was a coincidence that the hubs all moved to conservative right to work jurisdictions? Contact your state afl- cio or seiu offices. They will come. As will the SF legal and HR armies to fight them off.

@k9 are there enough in the renter generation willing to leave their parents basement in order to form a union?

You would need to talk to other people in order form a union. I don't see any of you kids able to accomplish that.

Im all for this but there has been talk for like 15 years on unionizing and never once seen any actual union do anything to make that happen. I feel this is all talk unless anyones reached out to an actual union to start the process.

Really we should at this point, not just SF too all other insurance companies are more or less abusing claim handlers.

What union to reach out to? How does this work? Someone needs to get the ball rolling on this even if it fails.

Nothing will improve in this industry until we form a union, there is no escape right now, all insurance companies are abusing their claim handlers and underwriters knowing theyll do nothing about it.

Look at every insurance company out there, no one is happy, and it doesnt need to be this way. Remember, we do the claims, agency and underwriting, the CORE of insurance companies, they cannot survive with just programmers and managers

They are just waiting to be fully replaced by offshore workers making $5k a year and AI. Im usually not a fan of unions but would 1000% vote to join one, been over a decade watching this company stab its front line workers in the back, over and over and over....
