New schedules in multi

6 years at Wayfair and Im honestly ready to quit they have me working a closing schedule with split days off. I have a family to take care of and this feels like a kick in the teeth.

I started almost 5 years ago AMC was actually bragging about how well they treat their employees. What a joke that's become. They could care less. I tried challenging them at one of their little meetings where we can send in questions. The response I got was basically us ask about our customers and F You and your dedication. I had the same schedule for any 4 1/2 years. My side hustle requires weekends, so bye bye extra income. I'm applying to other jobs about sticking this out to the bitter end because of the pay and benefits. Once I find another job, I will have my last say at what I think of them... l know they will replace us all with offshore and AI.. however, we've already been getting SO MANY complaints from customers about both! These companies that are switching to all this will ultimately regret it when customers start backing away from doing business with them...... and personally I can't wait for the day they finally look up from their bank accounts and realize we are the best thing for the customer, but we are no longer there..... how that makes sense.

Take it from me, I was in Innovation and they completely blindsided us. They had us train ISL and JSL with the AI and create so many templates for this software for them to take out job and force us to move to phones. I am not in a different department which Is just as miserable and yes I don't have back to back days off. Please do not quit! I've been looking for work for 2 years and it is so hard. Don't quit, let them fire you so you can collect and this goes to anyone that wants to quit. I know it's draining working here. I hate it so much and I'm miserable but, please make use of the FMLA! Look up to see if your state will pay you and reach out to TM. Use that FMLA.

@jz kpi and metrics are part of any job. But I was always a top performer, my metrics were good. Things changed with level ai and it being inconsistent. I've never thought the metrics changing were a reasonable complaint because I could hit them fairly easily. But no thought was given to offer a move to another team to save the best performers. No reason to think metrics will save you.

@b2 I got my first choice schedule. I don’t know what they based it on. I’m so sorry that you guys are going through this. I did put my number one as a 4x10 I don’t know if that made a difference or not

@he I can only apologize but what has continous posting to complain about metric targets got to do with layoffs? ie How is that insightful to pending or upcoming layoffs

I do not mean to scare some but metric targets exist in almost every company.

Well done you for taking some initiative. There is nothing stopping others on here doing the same, if they feel so strongly about this company.

@gw It is a weird time right now. I was laid off in January, and I've done the normal things for that I guess. Updated resume, engage on LinkedIn, apply for jobs that in qualified for, take courses to get certs to hopefully help open a door. I somehow keep getting posts on LinkedIn about wayfair. All of them point toward more ai, and more investment in India. So while this would normally be a lay off forum, I think it is safe for people to post here to prepare for the end.

Everyone that I know is quitting over the terrible schedules, its no wonder they are hiring for multi. Management had this all planned out, they knew we would all be quitting when we got the terrible schedule and to hear that you will have a new schedule every 6 months is awful. You would have to be insane to apply to work here, the workload is nonstop and the escalations are hard to deal with. No thought was given to people with kids, ailing parents or those of us working a 2nd job. No one in management is having split days off or having to work a new schedule. You would have to be insane to apply to work here, the workload is nonstop and the escalations are hard to deal with. Im not giving them any notice when I quit I will leave them hanging.

I cant work with my new schedule, I have kids that I need to care for and getting off at 10pm impacts my family life way too much. No thought was put into the impact that this would have on our lives. Management only cares about themselves. The amount of stress this has caused is immeasurable.

I was hired 2020 and loved working there but yall are right its not the same company. I quit the beginning of 2025/end of 2024 (I cant remember) I was having so many health issues due to the stress of possible lay offs and metric increases. Find new work, I get paid less now but im now in a low stress enviorment with flexible hours and they actually care about my health. Wayfair is not worth your health

Although the shift bid isn’t the reason why I’m leaving I’m certainly in better spirits now that I can leave before the shift bids start. I was M-F schedule for all 3 years i worked at wayfair and not one time did I have to move. It’s absolutely unfair especially since they are basing the bids from Q4 peak lol what a joke. And call flow 80% min is absurd you will now be written up if AI doesn’t pick up a behavior. I started in 2022 and this place has changed drastically even since then. I hold out hope everyone can find something else if you didn’t get a schedule you want:(

I worked in Care for over 4 years, my new schedule is my 2nd last selection and I hate that I have to work it. I thought for sure I would get my 3rd or 4th but come on I have to work until late at night with split days off. I have a better schedule when I first started that this garbage. No one that I know got a schedule that they requested, they may as well not give us any selection. I spent my evening applying for a new job I refuse to accept this job and the way management treats us as part of my life going forward. No good work is ever recognized, its all negativity and management looking for reasons to fire you. They add as much stress as possible into your life, its beyond abusive.

I have been with Wayfair for 8 years and I got my last selection. My metrics are excellent, no points and work my a$$ off. I swear they did this so we will all quit. Maybe we should quit and leave them with no one. My manager said we will have to wait 6 months for a new schedule. Management hates us and treats us like a pile of dog po-p.

I decided to quit Wayfair the same week of my 9th anniversary there. I expected to be searching for work for weeks and weeks, but I had a new job within one week, with a $1.00/hr raise. I was never going to get another raise at WF. Consider applying elsewhere. I am really appreciating knowing that my contributions at work are recognized, and not having to worry that I am going to get the boot for no good reason. Neither of those things were true when I worked for WF.

The third from the last schedule I "picked" is what I got. Tenure, my butt. And they said something about doing this every six months. Let's change there schedules every six months and see if they like it. There is no way they did this with us in the NA in mind. Unless their goal is to get us to quit...

@OP Start looking for something else but don't quit. The job market is rough right now. I hope you find somewhere else that treats you better. Not just you but everyone.

Same here, so much for work life balance! they just want us to quit so they can keep the people that drag the company down. Makes no sense. Not the same company that I signed up for. I’m putting in a grievance to TM not that it will matter

@OP Get used to it. They don’t care about you and your family. Start looking.
