Pretty sad when redditers figure out the root cause and how to fix it. Verizon needs to do better.

According to the first-half 2025 RootMetrics report,
Verizon win the awards for Best 5G Experience, Fastest 5G, and Most Reliable 5G.

I wonder who sponsor RootMeterics to run the test :-)

We need another 10 hours of volunteering per employee, 5 days a week sitting at the Office, complete your survey on time, let's reorganize again to make things more chaotic, we will pay another extra million to change our logo and make it look more reddish and colorful,..etc..etc...etc....in short we will keep the same senior leadership for another 5 years and all problems will be solved!!!! What a Show we have become!!!!

@OP

Verizon keeps telling the public every outage is a “software issue.” Funny how the software never seems to break at AT&T or T-Mobile without a clear, detailed explanation (and FCC fines to back it up).

Here’s the truth:
• Verizon headcount: 135,000 (2019) → ~99,600 (2024). A 26% reduction.
• Outages: 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025. Every time, the same excuse: “software.”
• AT&T admitted their 2024 meltdown was a botched config change. T-Mobile admitted their 2020 disaster was a routing + software flaw.
• Verizon? No details. No accountability. Just layoffs dressed up as “efficiency.”

They cut tens of thousands of jobs, hollowed out the network brain trust, then pretend outages are random “glitches.” The hypocrisy? They sell Wall Street on cost cutting while selling customers on “most reliable.” Both can’t be true.
