Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Bracing for a bloodbath

The rumors about major cuts this month feel more substantial than the usual gossip. I'm getting genuinely concerned that we're walking into a disaster in the coming weeks.

So it happened today as verified by the SB email, but the details don’t allow us to see whether today
is bloodbath level. What’s the best way to infer the size of cuts-wait for next total employee count?

@kw you missed out on days ending in ‘y’.

Wednesdays are illegal too. Layoff can only be done on full moon nights at high tide during a meteor storm. You guys are id--ts.

@kj Fridays are illegal? I did not know this. So has to be thursday then..

I think the guy saying he was laid off today is trolling, we'd have heard if it was starting

@fs I have been in the room with him 50 times and you are exactly right. I saw some id--t post on LI about how great SB was to acknowledge his 15 year anniversary. Steve and the EC did the same for me and I was IRIF'ed 2 months later. The only difference is I knew it was coming.

I bailed finally… Steve B is a joke and has zero respect for the worker ants. Been in the same room with him twice and he refused to acknowledge any of the local service techs or myself. Xerox IRIF’ed more competent employees than Steve. If you’re not gone yet, then you are making a terrible bet on your future.

@eq It applies in NY where there are still alot of employees.

20 to 40% this week? Highly unlikely. This year, possibly.

There would be too much disruption to business to do it all at once. They believe (wrongly) that smaller reductions throughout the year can be managed.

It isn't that big if WARN ACT wasn't triggered?

I still think are looking at a 20-40% reduction due to the accumulation of new staff via the Lexmark acquisition. Be mindful of any unexpected meetings booked on your calendar for Thursday.

There will be reductions this week, but it won't be a bloodbath. Though I suppose some groups will get harder hit than others.

The people that stayed and believed that garbage, will now have their eyes opened, and achieve total consciousness.

This company is dead, just some of them don’t know it yet. You guys need to read the writing on the walls, not discredit it at every turn. Times up.

The last 10 years have been a disaster. It feels worse now because you are at the end.
