Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Global associates or corporate code word for outsourcing could not handle the load of provider disputes so they will now be completed state side and a new contract will take over outsourcing to India after the backlog is complete. Use and abuse the Humana way now.

@j8 When you say “provider contract load,” are you referring to Service Fund Provider Contract Load team or Provider Network team or some other team?

I guess it doesn’t matter as a reduction in provider contracts will have an affect on any team that loads provider contracts.

UNLESS there is not an actual reduction in provider contracts but rather just a movement (behind the scenes) of what team is doing the loading. Could perhaps even been outsourced to some cheaper overseas vendor. If that be the case, I sure hope they have good guards in place to protect against data breaches and any improper use of PII.

@j8 Yeah, with that being the case, you had better believe something is in the works.

There are layoffs happening weekly. Just depends on the area/team and what their plan is. Lots of offshoring in the works in IT, for example, but it's not all happening overnight...

We went from thousands of cases in our inventory to zero in the span of a month so I'd say any day now for us. Im pretty sure they are outsourcing the work now.

If there will be layoffs this quarter, it will be the middle month of the quarter, which is this month.

And it will usually be the non-pay week for those employees. But Humana alternates offsetting where some employees getting paid one week, while other employees get paid the following week.

I know this does not answer your question directly but should give you some insights as to how HR sets up layoffs each quarter in general.
