Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

My team has become Indian team

I am based in San Francisco Bay Area. The recent layoffs has removed many non Indian engineers. Have you guys seen the same?

Yes, they have been actively removing people from all kinds of positions and replacing them with Indians. Sunitha replaced two white leaders — with very deep domain knowledge, industry experience, and process/systems knowledge — with her compatriots after she had joined. She also denied appointment of a third white leader, who quit in disgust. The Indian replacements lacked knowledge and were non-performing; and business rebelled. She was then promoted out — to avoid conflict and allow her to save face. To be fair, she practiced an equal-opportunity discrimination. She denied a senior leadership opportunity to a long-tenured female leader, a Muslim originally from Africa. And, instead, she hired an Indian from outside. (That woman felt slighted and quickly quit. ) She has now left for another organization. In the end, she was not a leader, but rather a careerist.

Same. I’m the only white woman on my team. Half are h1b the other half have green cards.

You go into the Brevard office uptown, Charlotte, and you don’t see any white people hardly ever.

@d9 US government should audit those who born in India and received green card. Many of them were cheating when applying H1B and other temporary non immigrant visas.

All the Indians went all out and go: “Diversity is good” in employee surveys.

Leaderships: “diversity at Wellsfargo is great all the time!”

Fun fact:85% of Technology employees are Indians.

It took until the 21st century for the Stagecoach to be commandeered by Indians.

I saw an Indian guy reporting to another Indian guy lay off a person with decades of experience and then that team got a new Indian manager. The goal is Indians all the way down.

If I had to guess, I'd say my floor is 1/2 Indian, 1/2 everybody else, maybe more Indians.

Why do you think are all H1b visa holders, there could be Indians who got Green card or attained citizenship legally, some could be EAD which doesn't require sponsorship

Come to the Concord campus, it’s a little India. We now have a new Indian Supermarket, new indian restaurant opened across the street, a new Hindu temple… at the lobby/communal area, all you see and hear are Indians speaking Hindu. It’s rare you see an American worker! This is discrimination!

saw a few h1b postings for San Leandro. you would think with all the tech company layoffs up and down silicon valley they could easily find someone without going through h1b route.
