It is interesting to hear you say that BA is covering costs (implying that the building automation is doing well). Maybe they are doing well because they are not doing much hiring, and are not replacing retirees or any of the people that they let go over the past 2-3 years. On the other hand, that might hurt in the long run. We’ll see how that plays out.
Aero is absolutely the better half of this split despite the long sales cycles. There is no innovation happening in Remainco outside of powerpoints.
how do you all say aero was paying the cost of remainco? That is absurd. Aero is struggling to deliver and we have a major cash flow problem as a result. If anything, the building automation business is covering the costs.
Not much will remainco :)
@hx
Wrong. Corporate lists are correlated with investment returns. They are not fluff but rather vehicles for net new investment.
@cp all "top ten lists" are paid for by the companies. "whos who in class of 2026.. only $69"
honeywell pays someone to write an article then they pay forbes or barons or wsj to publish.
how do you not get this?
@cp I envision the HWers that take this post way too seriously downvoting it, while the rest of us with the sense of morbid sarcastic humor that can only come from a career at HW are having a laugh
@cp in the same light, SV for CEO!! KD to come back and bring RM to create the circus again. What a sh-t show it has been over the last few years.
@cp+1ksbc9nn4 you mean there is no innovation without UOP? b/c sigma aldrich hasn't been doing jack squat on innovating.
There is no remainco. Only temporary. Rest will be also sold off. Last remaining will be some tiny office which will bankrupt with all those debts.
Guys… You can’t spell “innovation” without “Honeywell”! How can you joke about NPIs. We are ranked on multiple lists where we are top 100 innovative companies. This is due to the phenomenal leadership of SV and his peers.
As far as recovering costs, we should slash T&E spend and restructure IT. We should also move some of the weaker satellite offices to India and Romania where there is real work performed.
They’re going to pay for it and then some with all of the great NPIs coming out! Oh wait…
