@gf I hope a few more who deserve it are ousted, too.
@vr initials please of the rif’d VP. I have never seen a VP rif’d, usually they leave “voluntarily”
@sa, was it DW?
@wc Enrollment & Billing
@vb what is E & B operations?
@sc no such luck….we just got one of the famous Shane’s Top 5 emails. Instantly deleted.
I’m on an analytics team in the E&B Operations department and we had two director levels RIFd yesterday. Both of whom were (I believe) high achievers and good people to work with.
Saw the comment about National - definitely true- I know 4 Account Managers who are gone, several who are leaving but haven't said anything yet. Remember National is large and divided into 2 areas - NY and ATL - from an operations standpoint. Separate from Careless.
@sa would that be SH?
Health Solutions cut VP.
Which departments today?
What RIFs do we know about in Operations and Sales? TBH Operations has already been slashed so much I’m not sure what else they can cut and still function.
More layoffs today.
Yes. At this point it is going to be rolling layoffs through 2025 and into 2026
@hx Amen.
I would watch National - there are RIFs being planned in operations and Sales. Medicaid is clearly on the list. Local business can't hold onto anything so if they continue to lose business they will be gone along with it.
FWIW, in response to belittling others for not knowing what the abbreviations mean …I was with one of the Carelon companies. We knew nothing about Elevance or the acronyms used here. We had no transparency, no information or insights to the other companies or the mothership. Yes we participated in town halls when our overwork schedules allowed, but those scripted phony meetings were full of bloat and we learned nothing substantial. We would get highlights and snippet of updates around the company, and when it is that large, it’s impossible to know what all the abbreviations are we were in our own little dysfunctional bubble.
@gf Thank Goodness the Staff VP position was saved. Those poor people are barely making a living - we need as many of them at as many levels as possible - SVP RVP, EVP
Top heavy company who cares little about anyone but themselves
@eq A posted job in FEP doesn’t mean they aren’t riffing people in said area. They post jobs all the time that are earmarked for specific people as a promotion. I’ve seen them rif a person then immediately post that job. It’s disgusting. Job postings mean nothing.
If you get let go try to consider it a blessing. This company is more toxic than sewage and is filled with miserable, dysfunctional people that act like third graders.
@bd the person I know was a director over a team that does reporting. Their staff now report directly to a staff VP. Not sure if anyone else was cut.
I see a job on the board posted today for FEP.
@ea "nice drop than walk"? really? OK, I guess we're just shoving random words together and calling it a sentence now. Try to cobble your words into a coherent thought. Jeez.
@as nice drop than walk. That’s all you have? No specific areas?
@dm You are being rude!!! I venture to guess you are not aware of each and every area and department in Elevance.
@dm You are being rude. This is a huge company with do many acronyms that it is reasonable someone wouldn’t know what it means. Also, company changes acronyms all the time. Remember GHB then they said we have to change it because it’s the acronym for date ra-e dr-g. Stupid add company, just leave the names as they are.
@dm I think it can be copped to how large the company is and if someone works for a subsidiary that is separated from that stuff.
Seems understandable that someone may not know what FEP is.
FEP is the federal employee program. Think US government employees.
@dg Not to be rude, but how do you work for ELV and not have any idea what FEP is?
What is FEP? I was hoping to stay here another 6-12 months but don't think I can do it.
@as any idea of what areas of FEP?
FEP
Not sure about this week … oh but they’re coming… the stock tanking is the PERFECT excuse. Might I suggest Gail?
