Out of all the absolute stupid problems with Xerox copiers and printers, what is your deal with the java ui interface? It is the least of the problems on a copier. What is it that makes you this way?

I was the last new quality class circa 2000 man that was awesome they spent 5 weeks on me and paid me to learn real quality tools (geezenstacks for alumni). That was so cool.
Then after that honey moon period I couldn't believe how bad the politics were like daytime siap opera level and quickly realized the place was run on nepotism and politics but luckily I was rnd so avoided it but eventually had to play the game too. Made it 23 years but point being any next gen thought by my generation at x was happily destroyed by mgmt just for spite even if it was the next big thing aka digital packaging 880 page per minute igen 3D and others that were ki-led as they like to say at the ttm review.... All history now it's done.....
narcissist gonna narcissist, but there were many in his group who were tarded enough to think that providing a Java UI was suitable for quarter-million dollar equipment. It looked like a toddler put it together because - Java. 🤮
It matters because those lazy low-IQ dum-dums kílled production.
"Even took a hand me down girlfriend / mistress from him"
I remember that! Probably 30 years ago if I recall?
@hd He only had that position because he was one of TonyF's loyalists. Even took a hand me down girlfriend / mistress from him. He was totally useless.
Yes the DocuSP comment is correct aka FFPS aka FreeFlow Print Server. The java gui guy may also be pi---d off about connect key.
Either way when Rich Lauria said mission accomplished we have a windows look and feel for focus when the customer requirements were windows operating system for ease of use he should have been fired immediately. The DocuSP was written with the unix os you needed to have a tech degree just to login....
Java gui ended the production biz of x - it was the DocuSP front end which was on all production devices.
@er No.. keep guessing
Wasn't the DocuShit controller made with Java?
I just don't understand. As a service technician, the ui is the least of any worries on a copier. Everything inside breaks every week. I have never once heard a customer complain about the ui. How can you get fixated on some d-mb sh!t like the ui software?
I was mentored by a 30 year tech that smelled like cigarettes and always addressed the customer as “hey lady “ and screamed “ XEROX SERVICE!!!!” when he entered an office.
First thing he told me was that Java U.I. will be the death of us.
I have been trying to tell you,
Ask your customers
Ask Wall Street
Ask yourself
The horrible Java Based U.I. Is the tipping point to our downfall, FACTS ! 🤮
I envision an almost retired out of touch service tech that smells like cigarette smoke and has been complaining about the same thing for 30 years. Amirite?
