Thread regarding Optum layoffs

HouseCalls

I was told that layoffs at HouseCalls were done. Anyone else hear anything about Housecalls?

@h8 The target points for the layoffs started with counties that had lost significant membership/contracts/didn't renew contracts, etc.

THEN they analyzed areas that had too many APCs per membership.
THEN they ranked APCs. Only a few 5s allowed to be given out for an entire team.
These were NOT necessarily poor performers or had low metrics/completion rates.

@g8 are the layoffs based on current zone/county assignments for the APC and membership numbers in those specific counties? or on metrics or manager preferences? or other factors? is there anything we can do to help make a case to keep our position at this point?

@ee example, people were notified this last week 02/19 they would be let go and their last day of “work” is two weeks later. So if you look at your schedule and it’s cleared beyond the notification date that’s a bad sign

@a2 Do you get the sense you were asked because they are going to eliminate the 20 hr/week position OR were you asked because there is plenty of work to do?

@OP CTM did mention that there might have been an indication in their meetings that it was it. However, I do agree with the post below about numbers not aligning. Plus the email that probably all of us received did state that they will continue to evaluate the needs. Also one needs to be naive to trust what they say. If anything, the opposite is likely to be true. Why would they say that it was not over lol

According to the math, and other posts on here, it masks sense if about 200 more are laid off. So my guess is we will see another round in March or April.

I’m 20 hours. My manager asked me last week if I wanted to increase my hours. Located in Texas.

I was part of the 600 employee meeting in January in which we were told to prepare to be layed off….
