Many seem to think they are entitled to be safe and comfortable in their role since they trained in a particlcular area, or whatever, but that kind of thinking is anacronistic now. (Ref the Oracle Doormat Principle)

Getting out of TECH is best due to uncertainty. No one knows how it will pan out, its just a guessing/betting game for now and all companies want is win this race.
If you can't due to your circumstance, Cyber Security would be next in demand due to AI SLOP
In Dev it would be fixing AI SLOP generated code and Apps. Testing is already gone to poor countries.
Getting expert in some functional domain may help with some jobs.
