How does in-office compliance tracking work?

I've noticed several people commenting about the need to be in the office 4 out of 6 weeks.

Don't managers get notified each week when someone isn't meeting the 3-day office requirement? How are people able to use the reporting period workaround?

@he you’re counting backwards. If you’re 3/2 hybrid you are required to be in the office 3 days per week. Two days not in the office.
If there’s a holiday on one day then you still have to be in the office for 3 out of the other 4 days that week. A holiday day is not considered “in office.”

the report the managers get only state if your attendance for the reporting period is compliant or not.

I was told holidays are not counted as a WFH day. When did this change?

@h5 YES... Holidays and Vacations count as days if they are taken individually as one. Also, the 4 of the 6 weeks reports take in consideration that full vacation weeks and exclusion weeks count in the 2 excluded in the report. Average BOA math for the year as I was told. For compliance, I just manage each week individually with two days at home to include holidays and vacations. This week MLK day counted as one. Friday or Thursday will be my 2nd WFH day. My manager did not say anything that I am doing anything wrong. Personally, I think that my manager does not care unless upper management squeaks loudly. Now that exclusion weeks are gone. Just waiting for the hybrid WFH policy to go as well. The squeaking is becoming more frequently and loudly.

Does a holiday or vacation day count as 1 of the 2 "at home" days per week?

Swipe and leave. If your manager and teammates are not in the same space, no one will know.

I never went to the office. Just swiped in and left and worked from home. This only works if your manager or anyone on your team isn’t in the same space. Did it for 3 years and never had a problem. The 4 out of 6 weeks really means nothing. You will still have to answer if you don’t have the required swipes on any given week.

@ea So does this mean managers only get notified if you don't make the 4 out of 6? Or do they get notified at the end of a noncompliant week

Your manager can see every single day you are in the office. But you won’t get on the HR report if you are in 4 out of 6. The 4 out of 6 gives you some leeway in case you are sick or can’t come in for some reason. That’s the best way to approach it vs thinking you should just not come in.

Lots of people don’t come in the for the full day. I really wish they would knock that off or we are all going to lose our flexibility

There is no actual fair way of tracking in office compliance. It is still an out of control unmanaged farce where favorites and those with stupid phony excuses stay home and those that comply are treated if they are the problem.
