PNC is going to five days a week in January… Guessing Bny will follow

Other organisations stating 5 days a week aren't policing it and firing people over it. Its more like it was pre-covid, you are expected in but if you have an excuse you can be at home any day you need to.
@h2 not even enough desks for 4 but here we are.
At this point, what difference does it make?
Remember when Robin said he couldn’t envision needing to go beyond 3 days in office?
BNY truly gives new meaning to phrase ‘Indian giver’…. Giving all our jobs to cheap low quality offshore and then giving us benefits and perks only to take them away.
Go ahead let’s go for 5!!!
You can’t go for 6.
No enough desks at the moment for 5 days.
Four days "should" be plenty. But with the new, highly efficient P-M model kicking in, who knows.
Doubtful they have their full enterprise coming back 5 days a week. I would expect back office is still remote at least one day a week or more, like we are. It’s probably the corporate banking/commercial banking group that are being mandated back in full. Our equivalent has been back ~5 days too.
To be honest, I don’t think we’re taking workforce and RTO management tips from a retail bank in Pittsburgh. We do not have the same business model and people needs. Our ops footprint is global and 10x their size, given our business mix compared to theirs. It’s a data point for our RTO people to consider but not a strong indicator of where our head is at.
I think it depends on where you work there, know a few people who are still fully remote
Yeah they will. Bny cant think for themselves. The only thing they didnt copy was when they took Columbus and veterans day away when we got Juneteenth. No other bank did that .
BNY Execs: “We don’t ever foresee a world where we’d have to come back to the office more than 3 days a week”
RV: “hold my free coffee”
It’s only a matter of time. Keep applying to other jobs. GTFO.
