Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Soooo d-mb…go ahead and spin this

So we buy WB, for $80b, sell for $40b, then watch a bidding war for it as it gets resold? Thats what you people call a genius leader. Board won’t do anything cause it’s filled with other flunkies who weren’t popular with the worker bees. If you have to tell me how great you are….you’re probably not very good at what you do.

@h1 ask at the next town hall. An investigation may be needed.

I want to know how Stinkey kept his WB stock when the employees were forced to sell theirs? He “knew” this day was coming?

You’re spot on, but make them answer for these failures. Ask these questions at the town hall. They think you’re too stupid to understand the truth.

Did we really own WB? Why would we sell it?

Only reason I could think of was it merged with Discovery, so Netflix and Paramount aren't exactly just buying what AT&T sold then, it had no Discovery, now it is WBD - Warner Bros Discovery. Not sure if that helped it boost the value.

My opinion, Stinky knew he couldn't manage WB. He was losing millions every month and would probably bankrupt both ATT and WB. He had to get rid of it quickly, a sale would take at least a year and no guarantee it would close. So, he did a spin off with a golfing buddy.

Could be worse. Big Stink could decide “yeah it’ll work this time, just gotta give em $120B”.

They’ll try to justify the $40 billion sale with minor acquisitions (lumen) and investments that will take 40 years to recover the capital and generate $40 billion in profits just to break even

They all get huge bonuses in the millions when we do a deal like that. Buying or selling when the deal closes they get paid extra $$$

Don’t worry … Not a single one of the execs that worked the deal will get sacked and will probably still get a much bigger severance than any of us did. They all get much bigger packages after their wrecking ball management style.

As the company who's marketing "genius" rebranded Lumen as "NetworkCo" did you expect anything different? 😂
