Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Is TFB struggling?

Were they impacted by the layoffs? I thought they were doing well according to the quarterly update.

@cs+1k3mdscem, any new updates?

”IT that supports TfB was restructured earlier this year, lack of leadership (Meg K) created a painful mess to clean up.”

”Kallie’s team will be “overhauled” too. Some VP level dead weight will be cut loose by the end of the year (Farhan R., etc).”

”Board is serious about change right now. Lots of old blood people making way for fresh ideas. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.”

If the network is that great and the results are not.......

Some managers are fighting the good fight, only to have their leadership not know how to do the same. Their are a few leaders that have their stuff together. It may be time to go outside the company to find more.

TFB is going to be saved by the new Kevin Bacon ads.

I wonder how long it is before Kevin Bacon tells Mikey to lose his phone number and stop texting him in the same way that Ryan Reynolds did.

They brought all the Customer Care people over to run B2B. Didn’t work out.

Their leader just left or was let go, so obviously they are struggling with a service that no one wants.

There have been some strong management hires, but there are also some people in key positions that do not have the experience "in the trenches" or have ever been in a highly competitive B2B environment. They typically manage by spreadsheets.

Enterprise and Strategic just can't seem to grab market share. T-Mobile can't even get a portal right, let alone implementing things that large customers need. T-Mobile also won't do the "pay to play" that is needed in paying off the Deloittes, Forresters, KPMGs -- those orgs heavily influence decision makers.

T-Mobile will be fine when these larger customers start having their old decision makers age out of their job. But TfB's biggest issue in these two segments is that customers don't think their equipped to handle their telecom needs.

She was canned. We were in alot of meetings with her planning numerous benefits. All that abruptly stopped. People are crying saying she was canned. The new guy has been in the works for a while now.

There seems to be too many channels (segments) of TFB. The network is finally competitive, but now the challenge is winning opportunities and taking VZ/AT&T business. Those two have owned B2B for decades.

@gv Ulf was a buddy of Neville. Neville set him up with a plan to expand the network and roll out 5G. I don't think Ulf is capable of a unique thought on his own. I'd also put money on John Saw undercutting him undercutting him so that he could take over and fail yet another tech company.76

@eh was she canned though or left on her own accord? Given the length of time until she actually leaves the company doesn't seem as if she was canned...Ulf on the hand, something def happened there, his was immediate.

Think about it…if TFB was successful would Callie have been canned? Use your brain.

Based on the reports, you would think TFB is smoking the competition. I guess not!!

IT that supports TfB was restructured earlier this year, lack of leadership (Meg K) created a painful mess to clean up.

Kallie’s team will be “overhauled” too. Some VP level dead weight will be cut loose by the end of the year (Farhan R., etc).

Board is serious about change right now. Lots of old blood people making way for fresh ideas. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

TFB doing well only due to micro which is driven by the retail team. All other parts of TFB are not doing well. Bloated support headcount everywhere that Andre needs to address.
