Is it to make working conditions so insufferable that people quit en mass to avoid dreaded WARN notices? Are we clearing the way for the inevitable deployment of AI? Are we simply attempting to pump up the stock price at any cost while waiting on our golden parachute to deploy?

@gn the opposite has been said for our team. Our managers were notified that their requirements for going in office is being reduced. They are happy!

RTO?? How? They sold off or broke the lease on most of their office space. There’s no office to return to. Maybe we can all pile on to that shiny, new headquarters in Charlotte. Oh, wait….
Is this just for certain offices and groups? Many teams are all over the place in corporate.
@gn I’ve also been told this in so many words, people aren’t allowed to move around like they used to, if not return to office, hybrid is for sure coming soon

I heard on Friday, 4/10, that RTO (return to office) is going to happen in 2026. The goal is for those that don't want to return can find another job. My Director in CM was talking about this. Wonder if there is any merit to it? I can't RTO so I guess I'll be let go along with many other people. Here it comes.
Look on the bright side. If AI is truly an existential threat, none of this will matter by 2028.
