@ez Let me clarify, but I was possibly gone before the 15 yrs so they didn't have to pay the double severance.

I felt like that could apply to me. I had probs with mgmt acting like I should be as active as younger employees. I worked through my cancer treatment. Only missed 8 wks from surgery. I'd like to see how well they'd go through it and not miss any more work than I did. Only one person ever really made me feel appreciated for that and she was management in CA, not my current local mgmt. Also found out that once you're getting close to 15 yrs with the company that if they lay off it gives you double the amount of your severance. I was a little over a year away from that. If I am wrong someone post. I found out from a previous employee.
