We had stale cookies one day and another day popcorn. Another office in my area had half a sandwich per person. Why even bother it feels like an insult honestly….

@dm yeah, it’s hard to serve that much fresh food hot and yummy. Just ask McDonald’s. They can have a bunch of 16 year olds do it in their sleep.
@ew Haha I think we worked in the same building. It's like they took a normal sized sandwich and sliced each one up into about 12 bite sized pieces. While the old bags passing out the sandwiches were hoarding a bunch oh then in boxes behind the table, so they could take leftovers home with them. 🤣
We were informed that during that week we would be getting hamburger s. We knew it wouldn't be anything fancy, not even a fast food burger but it was better than stale cookies and 3 day old donuts that they try to pawn off on everyone else. Anyways, we go to the break room, grab our burgers, just a a sad looking patty between cheap store bought buns. There were no toppings like lettuce tomatoes or pickle. Just cafeteria ketchup. I'm not kidding when I say that burger tasted like what I would imagine as dog butt. It was so bad I had to sp-t it out into the trash. Then realized that over half the people couldn't stomach it. I'm convinced they fed us cow p-o shaped into patties. It was truly that awful.
They gave us “fun-sized” candy bars, presumably left over from last Halloween. There’s nothing “fun” about something that’s only one inch long.

Sounds like we’re in the same office. Stale popcorn, cold mini donuts, hard “soft” pretzels. Didn’t bother with the cookies. I did like the cake pop though! I figured it’s hard to serve so many people fresh food in a timely manner so I’ve stopped caring. I did take that can of pop home every time though.
They can shove their free stuff where the sun don't shine.......
Interns, I&P and executives got all kinds of goodies I'm sure. F the rest of us. That's how HY rolls.

We had soggy veggie sandwiches with wilted zucchini that soaked the tasteless bread. It really does make you realize how cheap this company is. I remember one time they had fresh coffee and cream but it was for the executives only and they literally had people there shooing people away. We were told to go to the break room, which was out of powdered creamer. The cafe wasn’t open yet. So we didn’t get anything. Luckily I can find the humor in how awful it is.
We got wilted salad 🥗 with stale bread 🥖 & cottage cheese.
